Speaks Polish?: No, but i do know i lot of words! The grammar makes it difficult to turn these words into sentences!

Language / So i bought the Polish game "Wiedźmin" to learn Polish. [27]

My BF is a computer technician - so i don't think i need to worry about whether his computer is up to the job -LOL! (thanks for the advice though)

I am planning on reading the books, but they need to translate the next ones into english quicker! My BF has read the whole series in Polish and agrees with you that the books were excellent.

Language / If The Polish Language Is Too Hard >>> Sing Instead [18]

How about Grzegorz Turnau - its not usually my style of music, but i saw him in concert at Lake Wigry in North-East Poland and his music is beautiful. Apparently his lyrics are good too, but my Polish is not good enough to understand the meanings of the lyrics.

Language / So i bought the Polish game "Wiedźmin" to learn Polish. [27]

I was thinking of buying this game for my boyfriend for Christmas (he is Polish) - he was really adicted to baldersgate - so this can be another obsession for him :)

So, is it a good game ultimately?

Language / How do people mispronounce your Polish names? [60]

I think it happens all the time when people don't speak the same language. I'm a british teacher in Poland and I have never heard a polish person pronnounce my name correctly and that includes my Polish boyfriend who i ahve been with for 2 and a half years (his pronnunciation of my name IS getting better though!)

Travel / 3 days in Krakow [5]

I was in krakow and I went there by train - it is cheap and direct! Give it a go! Also, don't pay for the guided tour - buy the information booklet and go round there yourself - its just as good but you can go round there t your own pace instead of being stuck in a group, which is a bit annoying!

Life / I'm a Polish immigrant. And I'm not going back to Poland. [40]

My boyfriend is Polish lives in the UK and he loves it there, but he does miss Poland a lot because of his friends and family - I am originally british and i live in Poland because i am a teacher of English. I think in the future we may live in Poland together, but my boyfriend makes a good point (and an unfortunate one!) - there are better oppurtunities for Poles abroad than in Poland itself! My boyfriend has no formal qualifications, but a lot of experience working with computers - so he has a decent job in the UK. If he had of come to Pland with e he prob would have ended up working in a factory for a poor wage. For this reason I don;t blame Poles for wanting to live abroad!!
