In regards to why some Germans supported Hitler, being that I'm not a German nor was I alive in that period, I can't really comment. However I would suspect good old fashioned sheep complex. When most people see a throng of people chanting, they tend to want to be a part of the "cool crowd".

The company is Polskie Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń S.A. (ptu.pl). The paper states its "Insurance of foreigners and Polish citizens who live permanently abroad, during they stay in Poland". It covers "personal accident", "medical expenses", and "third party liability in private life". Cost me 150 USD for a year and got me my residency.

We refrigerate our milk. When I got here we had a tiny little fridge by the brand name "Silesia", but as it was more of an air conditioner than a fridge we went and got a "regular" size one.

Yes, quite. Ask my wife and she will tell you I am the most unalphabet individual in all of Lower Silesia. But that isn't the issue. It means I'm sitting there, having a relax (as I tend to do after a hard day's work), and I can't because some person, who is quite obviously an unalphabet person, disturbs my relax. It's quite un-nerving.

I arrived about two months ago. Seems fine so far. Sure there is the every day pain in the ass things, but no more than anywhere else and less than where I'm from. I work from home and get paid in USD so I haven't had the stress of finding a job. Learning the language (Ten pies jest biały), dealing with the horrible voice-over guy on TV. Working on my greencard. Eating pierogies, drinking "turkish" coffee. Going on walks much to the amusement of my neighbors. Realizing that "c" is pronounced "ts" and still have no idea what the "a" with the little dangle is all about. Spending time in my girl's village. Homesick as ****. It's as good as I make it I suppose.

All in all I like it so far, other that the ********* hollering outside right now. Apparently Zagłębie Lubin is the best...from what I can tell.
