Is Polish girls' beauty a myth? [78]
It's out of question that, like in many Eastern European countries, there are many pretty girls in Poland. But, I I would like to offer an alternative to the other thread about "Polish girls the most beautiful in the world?".
I'd agree that the average is high, bu that is because MOST girls in Poland are average looking.
Now, the reason for it is that it level out more than in other countries. Say in the CZ Republic when a girl is hot she is really hot, often a stunner, and when she hasn't been blessed by genes, well .. she's a total dog (and I like animals)
In Poland the looks of most girls are in the middle. This becomes deceptive of course, and make some needy foreign guys spread the word that all Polish girls are hot, when in fact all (most) are average, and the average slightly above the average of other countries.
Last but not least, there is DECEPTION PROPER. Some Polish girls may appear to be pretty in certain situations:
1) under a good light, or in a dim place such as discos, bars, candlelight. Definitely more than other nationalities.
2) under the influence of cheap Polish beer. When the vision blurs, suddenly an avg. Polish girl appears hot.
3) from far away. Because the avg. girl is slim, and may dress up tarty, she will look hot from afar, but the good looks explode in your face from close up. Shocking experience
4) make up. I saw some friends of my ex, nasty looking girls, going up a couple of points on the good looks scale, from say 3 or 4s to above 6s. Incredible what the make up can do.
5) most Polish girls always have a major defect, often located on the face. Among the most common are a mould, dodgy chins, bad teeth, sticking out ears, etc. This is often well covered up.
6) more approcheable, friendly or "easy" factor? This does in guys influence the perception of how good they look.
7) combinations of the above. E.g. beers with dim lights etc.
In the list above I have had to be a bit harsh (sorry girls) but for a good cause which is to debunk this myth, and be honest about it.
Apart from the hate mail I expect from this post hehehe ... , it would be good to hear some comments about my points above :)
