News / Blood libel fresco in Polish cathedral? [35]

Carefully read all the thread I didn't understand why Joe was piece of something. I've read about cases of Christian blood withdrawal and didn't happen to see here any contrarguments.

News / Abkhazia and South Ossetia are independent states now! Poland reaction? [236]

i do however feel that if hypothetically abkhazia and south ossetia were annexed by the ruskies then they would not be recognising the independence of these two states.

True. How our politicians say "the fact of recognizing these two regions is a best proof to the West on that we're not going to annex them". Well... I hope that was candid.

News / Abkhazia and South Ossetia are independent states now! Poland reaction? [236]

I know my words might sound biassed on the issue, so I should point it out I feel very sceptical of the Russian GV step recognizing two regions and I can't say I like it.

Now answering your question...
The distinctions are as follows:

1) Abhasians and Ossetians have always lived on that land and developed as folks there.
Albanians mostly advisebly inhabited Kosovo territory in the last century (Tito).
2) Kosovo has always been a cradle of Serbian religion and culture.
Abhasia or South Ossetia couldn't be the cradles since they were forcibly annexed to Georgian Socialist Republic by Stalin in the last century and hadn't had common culture before.

3) Albanians were first who started to oppress native population on their own land.
Georgians has tried for three times to annex SO. First genocide was in 1920 (4143 casualties), second in 1991 (about 2000), third nowadays (about 2000).

These are only three. There may be more sure...

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

I was talking about 1920 - when Poland was very poor and harmless

Seems like you totally misunderstood me. So was I. The goals I listed are the goals of Poland at those time showing their offensive style.

Do we need it?

Need what? Bring them on? I wouldn't make it my primary ine of behaviour like you did. Be kind? Are there any reason to be unkind?

They will always hate both of us

Who they? All Poles? That's none of true. Being kind is not vain if it keeps anybody's attitude towards you similar to yours.

how do you see future of Poland and Russia and our neughbourhood

God knows! That will only depend on our politicians (read "on the ones who wash our brains")...

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

lol this post is about teaching twistd versions of history.

lol you already know one twisted version. why not learn another one?

"Stalin was an efficient leader, not a murderer.

That fact that he was a murderer doesn't make out of him inefficient leader.

The killing of Polish officers in Katyn was a well-deserved revenge,

You should agree. This version works pretty well for people... not just for Russian, but for people, for everybody. People don't necessarilly need to know the truth, they're ok with believing in things they want to believe in. You and many other guys here are only the best proof for that. You and people like you simply flatter yourself with the idea of that most of Russians are semi-mongolian retards who don't know how to think and don't have their own opinion... they are at any time manipulated by their own GV. Perhaps that's true. But you're absolutely the same and you merely don't want to realize it.

Back to your sentence... If Russia right now attacked Poland and some Polish soldiers died in captivity, McCoy-like people would be in a first row among people who would be eager to shoot Russian officers and you celinski would then say "war is a war", "nothing wrong with that", "russians are agressor".

The Pole-instinct and revenge drive you celinski, nothing more. It's not about common sense. If you were Russian, you would vehemently prove that all Poles are bastards. That's not a constructive position.

News / lets say nice things about poland [32]

Do we need a separate thread for mushroom enthusiasts?

That would be nice, Rakky! :)

Borowik is a Boletus.

Yeah, but in Russian we use the word "borowik" usually for "cep".
pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borowik_szlachetny

Another word that we use for that type of mushroom is "bely grib" (literaly "white muchroom").
I know that there're lots of different names that I don't know for the same type of mushroom even within Russia as every region name it in its own way.

Btw this mushroom pl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Borowik_ponury is called in Russia "polsky bely" (Polish white mushroom) or "dubovik" (mushroom growing under the oak).

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

Ogorki

Hi brat!

If it is true that RA soldiers died - you have to ask yourself the questions. Why were they on Polish soil. Soveriegn - FREE soil. FREE SOIL.

So may I perceive that as your consent on that RA's soldiers died? If "yes" then there's nothing to argue further about since it was the only my issue on the initial text of this thread.

In 1920 RA soldiers invaded a soveriegn country - Poland. They wanted to take what was not theirs. They wanted to enslave - to take Europe after WW1. Throughout history Russia has tried to control Poland - becuause it was in the way - an inconvenience. Occasionally Poland would fight back - with affect. Russia would respond - with revenge. Poland was fighting for basic survival - against a huge 'Bully' neighbour.

Nevertheless I noticed you painted the conflict as if it was all about bad russian bear and tiny innocent rec pospolita which is not true.

First and foremost it's good to know that Poland has never been so harmless towards its neighbours. At some sizable periods of its existence Poland competes with Russia for the title of empire in the East Europe and sometimes... Poland was about to once and for all win the game.

Here're GV's targets for the war:

Poland. Main goal is to restore Poland in its historical boundaries of Rech Pospolita in 1772 with establishing of control over Belorussia, Ukraine and Lithuania and dominating in Eastern Europe.

Uzef Pilsudsky: Secluded in the boundaries of the end 16th century, cut off of Black and Baltic Seas, devoid of natural resources of South and South-East Russia could easily turn to the state of second-class country that couldn't seriously threat to a NEW independent Poland. In its turn Poland as the biggest and most powerfull of NEW countries might easily get the sphere of influence spreading from Finland to Caucasian Mountains.

Excuse moi. Does it sound as a statement of sovereign and innocent country that doesn't bully anybody and doesn't claim to be an empire? :)

Russia. As a minimum: establishing control over Ukraine and Belorussia and their sovetization. As a maximum: sovetization of Poland and further of Germany then the World Revolution.

Lenin: crashing polish army we're destroying that Versaillais peace that holds system of nowadays international affairs. If Poland was Soviet, Versaillais peace would be destructed and all international system would crashed as well.
Trozky: Lenin had a plan to enter Warsaw and help people to overthrow their political system in the name of Socialistic Ideals.

Doesn't sound friendly as well.
My purpose was to show you that nothing was white in the World. Historic "facts" is a kind of information you gotta be especially careful with since every time when you express your opinion on how things look like you take a great responsibility that may impact all the Humankind in the future. People have always been a trigger under the finger of politicians.

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

ROFL :)))))) I have ti transalte that.

You know celinski Kostia says you've f&#cked his brain out with your Katyn and he doesn't have any english words to express his indignation. Also he's a bit upset that you're trying to feed him with your polish victimhood every time he surfes the forum. Moreover, he surrenders and ready to transfer to Poland some 300 rubles of his next wage.

How about we just tell the truth and teach the children that things in history were wrong and should never happen again.

Obviously you're having a sex with my brain as well since you don't stubbornly want to read my post and get the idea. It's not a lie. It's the way to present the information and paint bygone developments and I strongly believe that smart people wouldn't read that or take it seriously. So the problem should be solved itself. But I repeat you again... death of RA's soldiers is NOT a lie.

History / Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn" [139]

Wrong once more, Polish military were told to hand them in all in good faith.

Excuse me celinski.... you named this thread "Russia tells teachers to lie to students about "Katyn". I don't deny that Stalin wasn't a good guy, I can agree that the authors of this book are at least cynical and I wouldn't suggest reading this book to my kids but I can't figure out why you called it a lie? It's just their point of view, ****** but still point of view. It would be a lie if Red Army soldiers didn't die in captivate but they did and let people decide themselves on what works better for them.

Long story short I'm disturbed with your lie here that you call a lie death of soldiers of the RA. That's it.
Grzegorz, right stalin did a lot of bad things but it's not related to our particular case.

Lets see 1920 Red Army had guns, not unarmed and shot in the head.

My question was simple and implied an easy answer either yes or no. So it looks like I talk about thomas and you're trying to explain me something about jonas. Ok... sure they had guns as well as your officer before being captivated.

So your answer is "no"? right?

Is this a lie, celinski?

I don't think that it is a good decision !

Neither do I. Anyway want to know why you don't support that...

In terms of humanity that was right, but in terms of politics... I'm afraid that wasn't in interests of Russia and could do us more harm rather than good.

News / lets say nice things about poland [32]

Beautiful women, nice architecture and comparably clean streets, interesting language&culture, nostalgic films&books (such as "Niewiarygodne przygody Marka Piegusa" which I was gifted when I was 7 years old)... well Poles know that there're other mushrooms apart from champignons.

Borówki are super tasty

Aha. :) I found some on past weekend.

News / Kaczynski laughs at Tusk because of his English language skills [18]

nightcrawler

Thanks for the video. Seems like I understand Polish more than any other Slavic language (Ukranian and Belorussian are not counted) by the way it sounds.

That's what I call bear's diplomacy.

they are human

Celinski, they're not plain people. They were elected by people and they bear a great responsibility. Your logic is close to what dedushka Lenin said in his days "any cook can be a president".

As for Tusk I find him far more balanced than Качински.

News / POLAND TO SIGN US MISSILE SHIELD DEAL TONIGHT [239]

I believe I already gave you the link where Russia says the site is not an issue, so what is it?

Celinski, I used to think Russians are the most naive people ever. I'm changing my mind... looks like it's some Poles immigrated to the US.

On the official level nobody will tell all the truth on that issue. It's none of civilians' business. :)

I take it USA made Russia attack Georgia and then not live up to their word that they would get out.

Quite the contrary but almost right. The US gave allowance to attack SO (=to attack Russia in persons of Russian citizen living over there).

Russia is still living in lala land that Germany killed the Polish Katyn.

Somebody here made up a good termin... Polish victimhood. It's getting to make more and more sense to me.

What I think/now is based on my observations.

I base my statement on Russian military doctrine and my education background. :)

I think Russia's behavior is more complicated than simply reacting to what other countries do....I am sure they have an agenda. It just is not clear to me.

Hm... :) I suspect you want to see them with some mysterious "agenda" and this look more like conspiracy theory. What do you think Poland or... better the US would do if Russia installed missile shield in Serbia or in Cuba? :) Their contraction would be absolutely similar to Russian. Now Russia basing on its military doctrine will HAVE to increase quantity of warheads, relocate known missile vehicles and aim some missiles to Poland. I assure you, Poland, the US, Germany... any country would do the same. And I should ask you now... Do you still think Europe needed that problem created by the US, by their straight military interests?

It's above :)
You merely didn't want to see it. :))

First and foremost Americans want to install missile shield in Poland to control airspace of Russia with help of radiolocators which go together with missile. The missiles itself are of none threat to Russia.

For such a big powerful country, why is Russia so easily annoyed? Is it paranoia? Does Russia think little, peaceful Poland is going to rise up and give some "payback" or something just because Poland is in the EU? I don't get it.

My post in another thread as an answer to celinski:

You have a fantastic ability not to comment things that you don't understand even though it's the essence of the problem.
First and foremost Americans want to install missile shield in Poland to control airspace of Russia with help of radiolocators which go together with missile. The missiles itself are of none threat to Russia.

Shopgirl your problem is quite the same. This what you said is a pretty much amateurish point of view. You don't comprehend what the problem is, you like a man in the street judge the book by its cover. You don't even want to assume that the problem can be more complicated.

News / Funny German way of thinking ... "Stupid Poles" destroying EU? [57]

It's very hard to say what is freedom and democracy but It's much easier to say what It isn't and the system where for example the leader choose his successor is definately not free and democratic.

Correct. It's obviously non-democratic but you think it's democratic in the US?.. :) From what I see their current president had been elected before actual elections.

Another question is what essentially democracy gives you? Does an ordinary citizen know how to wield this privelege? Unfortunatelly, in reality the word "democracy" with all the rights it bears in people's mind turns into the only one right - right to be stupid. Look at the nowadays presidents in the leading democratic countries. Can you name at least one president of any democratic country at present who you consider great? Hardly. Why is it so? Because they were brought to the politics not for their real deeds but for their putting into semblance of real deeds. Democratic election system is a legalized way of fooling people first and foremost with help of media.

I've lived for about a year in the US and can say it's not a wit more democratic than Russia. Moreover the government control under citizens is much stronger in the US. Democracy in the US is a fairy-tale for hillbillies and on international level a very convenient way to justify their crimes.

That was bad about the US... now about white side. The most significant Russian problem and the US preference is a law which doesn't work in Russia and perfectly works in the US. Stupid to deny that. The primary reason for such state of affairs in our country is a corruption (stronger is the one who has more money) and that point can be actually related to things like "human rights" and "democracy".

They are Ukrainians.

Boria, I'm afraid they're not. They even have their own language and feel oppressed by current Ukranian government. Type in "zakarpatskije rusini" and you may see lots of stuff on that topic. Well... you know Russian, here you are: ua-reporter.com/novosti/29830

Btw they live not only in Ukraine, there're also Serbian Ruthenians.

Russians are close to the old and todays people of Mongolia.

A bit earlier you told him we were Finns... Or it's a slip of my mind? :)
