Travel / Is there a limit to the number of trips in 1 year to Poland? [21]

Actually, this past January I travelled from PL to CZ by bus and we just drove through the border. I usually have to get stamped, but not that time. It was set up through a travel agency so I don't know if this was why.

It's not a bad place. we didn't dance salsa, just drank, but the crowd didn't seem too bad. They don't allow tracksuiters in :) It's a more mature crowd, but there's a club downstairs called SQ which is a lot of younger people. Maybe this is why?

I was at Słodownia in Poznan ( Stary Browar) and they were giving salsa lessons and have salsa nights. it was pretty packed.

Look out for cheap welds too. In a rush, tanks were sometime welded with lead solder(thxplk). This can seep into your water/liquor. Test it for lead first.

There's a problem with moonshiners getting lead disease

problem is the best poutine is a lot of km away from Lake Louise

I get really good poutine up by N. Troy border.

IMO Canadians are nicer people and fun to party with.

NY is a large State. You can get a 1BR apartment for anywhere from $400 to $4000 per month.

LOL. What a range :) Truth is, you cant find anything under $700 (suburbs) NYC nothing under $900, unless you're in the ghetto or have rent control. NY is tough, but there's plenty of work.

I'd move to Canada just to live at Lake Louise and eat lots of Poutine :)

I'm trying to help someone locate relatives in the US from the Reszke family. They were from Modlin PL and moved to the US during the 20's-30's. One of 2 brothers.

LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad were in Poznan this past January at club SQ. There were a few other clubs also spinning various forms of D&B. I think you can google some info on future events. I know there are D&B parties in Gdansk. I've heard of a few UK Dj's passing through.

Catalina Garcia, age 20, last of Cicero, Ill.
Ryanne Mace, age 19, last of Carpentersville, Ill.
Julianna Gehant (pronounced Ghee-hant), age 32, last of Mendota, Ill.
Gayle Dubowski, age 20, last of Carol Stream, Ill.

NIU officials have confirmed that the gunman has been identified as Stephen Kazmierczak, age 27, of Champaign.

Was just another University shooting in Northern Illinois. not too sure of the details yet though More here..

I would bet a case of your favorite that it is already illegal to possess a firearm on the campus of that university...
Or the shooter may would have had a little more thought before doing such a thing. Its easy to shoot unarmed people. Not so much if one thinks the other guy will shoot back.
Hope as many as possible of the victims are ok, and those who are not, prayers for their families.

In some areas. Not as bad as it used to be. You'd have to walk through the tunnles to see some good work. They try to keep it clean....no where near the way it looked in the 80's

Where there are kids....there's graffitti. That's like asking why there's graffitti in NYC. It's prob mostly anti communist like "Niszcz czerwonych" or sth. I think that much of it relates to the "rap" culture as it does in most places.
