I've been producing Drum n Bass since early 2000 and know a few people in Poland who say there is a few club nights here n there.

Anyone got any info on the scene at all??

LTJ Bukem and MC Conrad were in Poznan this past January at club SQ. There were a few other clubs also spinning various forms of D&B. I think you can google some info on future events. I know there are D&B parties in Gdansk. I've heard of a few UK Dj's passing through.

I like Techstep and Hardstep D&B. I can listen to it without being on drugs and I'm sure others can as well. Just because you don't like it......

There's D&B in Poland, but you have to search for it.

So, is it that Drum & Bass isn't big in Poland, or is it just not as big as it used to be?

I can listen to it without being on drugs and I'm sure others can as well

Tried it both ways. I prefer life without drugs, even with drum and bass.

we have enough with all this tecno crap

Drum and bass is not actually techno.

try making some rock music

No. Better still: drum, bass and banjo - bluegrass hardstep.

There is Drum and Bass in Poland. I've been to several D&B gigs in the Tri-city.
I was brought up on this music. I remember very little of what actually happened during the nineties, however, One nation, Sterns, The Rhythmn Station, Labryinth were the names that still ring bells. I think since the demise of the Turntable, commercial branded highly slickly produced tunes dominate the scene. Other wise you have to head to the other end of the spectrum and hit the squat scene. There is a decent squat/punk scene out here. But you have to know whats down.

Alot of people have this view on DnB, that's cool. The assumption that somebody who makes DNB doesn't make ANY other kind of music is a bit backwards but i don't lose any sleep over it. There seems to be alot of Trance in Poland, personally i was around when Trance was being invented, and it wasn't this vocal dominated crap you hear at disco's these days..

Anyhow - For me Drum n Bass incorporates all kinds of music which is why it sounds so fresh, BUT there is alot of commercial stuff getting played these days, a complete contrast from the late Nineties where the music had alot more impact.

Its a worldwide thing nowadays and each country has its own flavour, that's why i was asking if anyone on here from Poland produces Drum n Bass.

Drum n Bass - Britain's Best Export Ever.

There is so much variation pssbl in Electronic music. Too bad it is only the Techno that gets the most attention. In fact, Electronic music has the most options to make it the most varying music there is. See, a guitar sounds like a guitar, no matter what you do with it, or a bass or a drumkit for that matter. Witch computers, samplers, etc. you can virtually create every instrument there is and even invent new ones, if it is necessary for the tune you're creating...Just wish more ppl would see this.

M-G (played in many punk- and garagerock bands before making the music he does now)

Not true.

When sampling, you're not actually creating. Computers can do some great things, but if you want a guitar sound, use a guitar; if you want a thumb piano sound, use a thumb piano; if you want a kazoo, seek psychiatric assistance.

Drum and bass with real instruments can be very good.
