Trance seems the centrefold amongst the young and the club scenes in Poland, i may be wrong but thats the impression i got!...Can anybody tell me much about festivals such as Sunrise, entrance etc and advise on going to them, where to stay and any general chit chat about music!

As far as I know it is, however, the fact that a I have quite some online fans from Poland, shows that other types like TripHop and Lounge are also pretty much in shape over there.

The records that I always thought were techno, I have been told by a Pole, are not really techno.
He says: 'This is techno...'
Cue Disco Polo Hell!

Sorry Carl Cox. Sorry Underworld. Sorry Slam. Sorry 808 State. Sorry DJ Hell, Dave Angel and Derrick May.
You have now been replaced.

Yes, electro also!
It's big over here too but Drumb and Bass is the mainstream really, which i like but am not mad on.
Have any of you been to any festivals then? Sunrise in particular?

TripHop

trip hop and big beat appeared on the polish scene in the mid 90s - i saw US3 and Freestylers play live in the 3M at the time. the polish hip hop scene is also well established

one of the best things about poland for me is the abundance of good live music

Thanks for the info! Looking at the line-up i think i might just have to go! Toxic Noiz, Tiesto, Van Buuren, i'm feeling it lol

How much are tickets??
I've just seen Van Dyk and Genix recently and seeing Tiesto March 1st, could be a pretty good day seeing him and buying sunrise tickets!

Are they sold out quickly???
Is it best to buy them on the day of release? :)
Oh and any info on hotels/B&B's to stay at prior and post partying in Kolobrzeg??
This might be a silly question but is there and airport in Kolobrzeg? If not where is the best place to fly to?

Without him, who'd be the chief troll?

I dont care, someone not from Scotland. I was reading some posts about the way the forums were going, looks like another thread is getting clogged up and off topic ( yep, I am as guilty as anyone ) so, to get back on topic...

Armin Van Buuren

Would make it worth the effort going.

Why are comments randomly deleted? Should I change the answer I submitted some time ago? Trance music, it has its fans and I'm not one of them

Goleniów aiport which is close to Szczecin to which there is a bus connection and from there you can catch a train to Kolobrzeg (2,5 hour ride)

I myself have been to a club, forget its name for some reason right now, right in downtown Krakow where they played this exact song. The girls were wild and sexy, and I was drunk as hell. What a fun time.. Pity we can't just drop everything in life and go party : (

Some people like him, I don't care for him too much. Too trancy and vocal for me.

Mostly the same...except I didn't see many random guys prowling the dancefloor for a leg to grind up on/hump.

mzone and lenny dee are both cheesy, how can you compare those school disco ravers to a genious such as jeff mills.

mzone

considering he is a mate i can use a compare ... just like carl cox is a legend in his own right as too is scratchmaster Sy .... and considering i have been into the old skool .. hardcore ... techno and trance (not cheese) scene over 17 years now ... yes i will compare ...

:)
