Life / Polish people more caring? [20]

People in Poland are just in general more gentle and caring for eachother - and you try to solve problem man-by-man, and this rule is applicable even to strangers.?

i don't agree.. i think poles are not as caring as you seem to think they are.. americans are way more caring then poles, for example..

the example of the car accident you use as an example is really only that way because poles are freaking cheap and are trying to avoid all costs at all costs..

cold.

that's it exactly

i mean cmon sometimes it can save ur discounts,

see what i mean by cheap? that's the first thought.. always.. it has nothing to do with caring.. nothing.

Why do Polish people always have to try to out do each other?

the joneses complex.. it may be one of my top pet peeves about poles. i absolutely hate it.. such a waste of energy.

while in Poland the family most often takes care of them.

not as much anymore.

Feedback / I Really Think You Should Change Polish Forum Checker......... [21]

I was thinking that Polish Forum should get rid of My Threads, we don't need them.

But I love my threads.

she ain't right in the head, fred. and i am not just saying that.

Feedback / I Really Think You Should Change Polish Forum Checker......... [21]

I prefer to post to person I am posting instead of everybody.

then PM instead of posting, eh? it's not that hard to do.

Any forum which I have seen will post a new reply at the end of the thread regardless of whether or not the message box or reply buttons are used.

or top in many that are in the reverse order to here.

an ignore option or smth..

is it that hard not to look at those.

i never use the checker.. just latest threads. it works great.

USA, Canada / Why Foreigners Feel Need to Marry American Citizen? And Polish People [13]

Oh, I didn't know that. My bad. And if you did, as i said, most americans don't know then so i dont know why they make the other ppl take em.

i think this person that got citizenship a couple of years ago might have been asked a couple of questions from the "test" by the judge while filling the paperwork.

USA, Canada / Please help me find new places to buy Polish food in the Chicago area [37]

The only thing that I anticipate being hard to find is Okocim's Palone beer. I tried it at the Taste of Polonia last year, but have not seen it since. Does anyone know where this can be gotten?

fck, i already told you.. avondale is the only place you need to stop by. sheesh. :D

i normally fill my freezer every time i go to chicago too. i'll be there in a few days. can't wait. :)

oh, and you're welcome. hope you had a good time. :)

USA, Canada / POLISH FOOD IN CINCINNATI, OHIO AREA? [9]

Jungle Jim's in Fairfield (north of the city) carries Polish goods. I've been here 4 years, haven't seen any restaurants, though the food options here are surprisingly diverse considering the overly conservative population.

HofbrauHaus across the river i the closest you're going to get. Cincinnati is an old german town.

Language / Polish Language Pronunciation - Example Words and Phrases [178]

I suppose, although I have never heard of the word Brezhnev. I can use it but it's giving an english explanation that's a struggle.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leonid_Brezhnev

his name maybe the most well known word with "Ż" sound to the non slavs.
