Since 2004, most of Poles are happy to be in the EU, and Poland economy is in very good health.

Haha, most of French athletes of immigration descent were born in France. They are as "native" as other French.
We have very small mountains in opposition to France and in the rest of our territory there is always a lack of snow.
I don't think that the problem comes from the lack of mountains, or snow. Germany has not a lot of mountains either. The same for Norway, Sweden and Finland. Even Czechs and Slovaks have more medals.
The problem is maybe the infrastructures, as you said, and also maybe a lack of trainors and people organizing these activities.
France doesn't have many more mountains than Poland, and at the same many, many more athletes (in great competitions).
Honesty, i hope that it's going to change, cause i think that Poland can rank much higher, a place they deserve :)
So you say that because of that, this was worth to bring all of them to France?
They are not fruits or nuts, they are humans, we didn't bring them here, at least most of them. There are a lot of French in their countries, so they should come back to France too, and i'm pretty sure they don't want to.
Most of rich countries face some immigration, and especially cultural, historical places like France.
