UK, Ireland / Poles claim UK benefits after working only one year instead of going home [156]

Whats about USA why dont you talk about something you are familiar with?
because of that kind of approch Yanks are not liked much.

Maybe you misunderstood what I was trying to express. Talking about love to your own country, I meant that I wouldn't do many things for another country that I would do for my own like for example to go to the war and risk my life, pay more taxes if needed (if I lived somewhere else and that would happen I would just go back home), to make it short, I wouldn't sacrifice as much as I would for the USA. If you feel different about your own country then I guess, I must be wrong about Brits and their point of view to this subject.

The UK also invests in who they hope will be the future of the country

No one else will love your country more than your own people. This applies to all countries not just UK and that's why I wouldn't expect too much from foreigners. If I decide to live in another country, I will respect it, pay my taxes etc. but not love it enough to give a damn about the future of that country. OK maybe as long as I live but that's about it.

Love / Polish men vs German men: Who is hotter? [513]

People who say German chicks are the ugliest in Europe are ignorant

as far as this part of your statement, I fully agree with you. When I was in Germany I saw many beautiful women. Obviously it's a matter of taste like always :-)

I don't see how anyone that has lived here less than five years or anyone that has never held down a job can consider themselves as qualifying for much.

absolutely.
As far as the "scroungers" :-) don't get me wrong, it's not like I love them but I do see their rights as citizens of one country to get help before any foreigners (including my person if I lived in UK). Obviously if someone lived in your country for a long time, it changes everything but this thread is about people who lived in UK for only one year, right?

Tell me why scroungers should have more rights?

Not just scroungers.
I said British scroungers in UK, just like Polish scroungers in Poland, American in USA etc. It's all about being a citizen of one country. I'm not trying to convince you, you have the right to believe whatever you want, I'm just saying how I feel about it. No matter how long we'll be discussing about this subject, it won't change a thing.

Have a good one :-)

Yes they should

No, they shouldn't. They live in their own country and still should have more rights than anyone else. I'm not saying that what they're doing is right but they're British and should have more rights than foreigners because if not then why even have something like citizenship?

How can you have a reasonable discussion about immigration with someone that thinks it's ok to use words like "horrible foreigners" ?

I agree, he's got a point but unfortunately he's not using the right words to get more positive attention from majority of people on this forum.

Just seems ironic when the weegie moans about others, while he is taking from the pot without putting anything in himself.

I understand he's British, right? If so, don't you think he has the right to use help more than foreigners in his country? I'm sure you would see it the same way in Poland. Please be honest about it.

You're right about the law, it needs to be changed

The vast, vast majority of British people have been in employment all their lives, the number of people that have never had a job in britain is really tiny.

Polish people should go to poland if they are unemployed not scrounging off of the british taxpayers and sucking out the honey from britannias breast

Nothing against Poles but I have to agree with you. This is your country and your government should take care of your own people before anyone else. I bet, deep down inside everyone here agrees with that one. For those who might disagree at first, just try imagine the same situation in your own country, how would you feel if foreigners would be treated better than your own people.

History / Roman Dmowski- Polish Adolf Hitler? [219]

When it comes out that Poles were right and Germans used expulsions first ... "it changed hands more often then you or I have fingers on the hand". LOL

c'mon Salomon, some areas in nowadays Poland did change hands many times and you know it. As far as expulsions, both sides did it and now it's time to quit with this hatred crap, don't you think?

Happy Easter!!!

I think he will do a lot of good things for America. I have faith in him.

All we can have is hope but then again hope is a mother of fools. OK even a fool has to have a mother (most of times anyway).

HB baby, do me a favor and read my post again. I didn't say we need AH, I said we need a president with a strong personality to bring some discipline back but at the same time avoid hatred and cruelty.

Roman Dmowski- Polish Adolf Hitler?

well, you might hate what I got to tell you but to be honest, most of the countries in the World need someone like Adolf to bring some discipline back. Just look at our kids, they're practically raising parents and do whatever they want to do. Many things that are currently happening (recession) probably would never happen if we had a strong personality as a head of our country. The only problem I see in all that is how to control this guy (whoever it might be) because what we don't want is cruelty, hatred etc...

Happy Easter!!!

If you ask a Turk,

if you ask A Turk....you probably right about that :-)
It would be interesting to go back in time and ask Copernicus how feels about it, lol.
In general a person is whoever it believes to be. For example if you're born in Turkey but your father is from Germany and your mother from Italy, how can we tell who you are? I guess it's up to you to make that decision.
