Love / How to sustain a Long Distance Relationship with a Polish girl [75]

i hope your not suggesting i fall in love easily because i have told sausage to move on :)

haha. No, it wasn't about you. It was about people in general. Some people don't find it easy to feel something strong toward whoever is around them. When you do find that feeling, I think you should go for it even if there's no guarantee involved.

Love / How to sustain a Long Distance Relationship with a Polish girl [75]

Spending time on a relationship this far apart seems totally ludicrous, there are plenty more fish in the sea.

Some people don't find it so easy to fall in love. My advice to sausage is to wait and see what happens. Don't give up too quickly unless she wants it to end. If you're really going to move there, it's not going to be a long distance relationship forever. If it doesn't work out, at least you'll feel satisfied that you tried.

USA, Canada / Polish Restaurants in Los Angeles/Riverside/Santa Barbara/Palm Spring [10]

I don't know if I'm brave enough to attend the Yorba Linda festival this year. The Polish ex-boyfriend goes there. I don't want to bump into him, after our break up in June.

yikes. I don't blame you. It's kind of slow during the day anyway. It's not until night that it comes alive. I'll have to try the L.A. bazaar.

USA, Canada / Polish Restaurants in Los Angeles/Riverside/Santa Barbara/Palm Spring [10]

Gazzolo's European Restaurant had a food booth there. I had to have a Polish kielbasa & kapusta sandwich. It was out of this world! Delicious!

I am so tempted to go down there. Have you ever tried the ones at the Yorba Linda festivals? They're the best I've had.

USA, Canada / The best POLISH FESTIVAL ever!! - San Diego Oct. 13-14 [36]

I just moved across the country from there 2 months ago!
Never saw any international type stuff while I was there unless it was for Mexico.

I was at Pacific Beach a couple of months ago. It's definitely a lively town. The beach is great. I didn't realize there were Polish events going on there, either.

Language / (part 2) Polish Language Pronunciation - Sample Words and Phrases [311]

and by the way, in English sometimes you pronounce k, p, t, in a little different way than in Polish, with more aspiration.

Thanks for the explanation. I've noticed that some letters are pronounced alot more softly in Polish than in English. The "k" in ksz is probably not pronounced exactly as it is in English. It's probably alot softer.

you might not have that much in common for a long term relationship, but believe me there is something to be said about younger men and older women getting together for fun..:)

USA, Canada / Polish Festival - Chicago [229]

Ok guys, I'm still deciding if I'm coming up there.....pursuade me! :)

If I were you, I would go. Have you ever been to a Polish festival? There's nothing else like them. Even just the food makes it worth going because it's the real thing. It's not always easy to find that if you don't live in a Polish area.

Love / Mexican in love with Polish girl. Need advice on what to do. [49]

it sounds like Jonny didn't choose to come to the US on his own as an adult. His parents are the ones who brought him over when he was a kid. Should Johnny be blamed for this? What should he do now? Should he go back on his own? I can see his dilemma.

Jonny, the person who can answer your question is an immigration lawyer here in the US. Just ask them for a free consultation. You should definitely try to get legal residency somewhere if you're not going to live in Mexico. There are countries that make it easier for people to become a legal resident and also to get married. The lawyer would know which ones.

USA, Canada / Florida Polish Church excitement [33]

about church... where do our priest get the authority, or position.. from the bible? I always get confused here. Do you find anywhere in the bible about papacy or priesthood? about the Holy Father. ??

magda09, the system of priesthood that exists today is entirely different than what is found in the Bible. Today's priesthood was established by the Catholic Church and that's where their authority comes from.

Try reading Exodus 28 in the Bible, and Exodus 29:9. They describe the establishment of the original priesthood. Hebrews 7:5 explains that the priesthood belongs only to the descendants of Levi. Hebrews 9 explains why the system of priesthood is no longer necessary. I hope that helps.
