HI I am having trouble finding all the information I need online if you could help I would appreciate it. Here are the questions I need answers too:

Is there McDonalds, KFC, Pizza Hut etc in Poland?
What food do they serve that is different then North America?

Do school's offer food service to the students?
What food is offered at school?

that is it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

And also, are there Mexican food restaurants in Poland? That may seem like a dumb question but here in L.A. they're on every corner but that makes sense since the Mexican border is not too far away.

McDonald's is overrated. When you're in Poland, you most definitely have to go to the Bar Mleczny... aka Milk Bar. It's cheap, good, authentic Polish food that will leave you wanting more!! I love it.

Is there Pizza Hut

the only pizza hut in the tri city was on monte casino in sopot... prime location... and it shut down about a year ago... the property is still empty...

are there Mexican food restaurants in Poland

yeah but they aint really mexican... my tortilla had carrot in it...wtf?

can you tell me what other places??

in the tri city its all about pizza... which perhaps begs the question why did pizza hut close... thin & crispy is the order of the day... none of that deep pan sheet...

Can anyone show me the difference between hamburger and hamburger?

this is the question of a clever man... one has ham in it and the other doesnt...

McDonald's is overrated

whats the stereo mcDonald's customer...?

Unfortunately they are. It's terrible that in every European country you can find the same restaurants especially that the food they serve is widely known as unhealthy. What's more it doesn't taste good so I don't understand people who go there regularly.

You must not be very familiar with tri-city than. I am sure there is at least one more, on Swietojanska street in Gdynia...

Food that is served in school is very cheap and not all that bad (I got information from 2001 when I last time ate in school). Back than the full dinner costed... 2,5 zl. (75 cents!) I am sure it's bit more expensive right now, still veeery cheap. The meal usually contains a soup, something to dring (usually kompot- home made juice) and a main meal- smtm placki ziemniachane (potato pancakes?), smtm racuchy (apple pancakes- I liked this one :)) sometimes some meat with a lot of potatos and a salad.

I hope that helps.

EDIT: I alomost forgot, my favorite main meal was pasta with fruits... Mniam :)

Unfortunately, AmRest reigns in Poland. They are going to introduce Starbucks too.
KFC, PizzaHut, Rodeo Drive, Fresh Point , Burger King and their biggest competition McDonalds.
In Poland schools don't offer fast food to their students, that's why are relatively slim.

Do people in Poland not like Pizza or is it that they don't like Pizza Hut? I mean since it was closed.

They are going to introduce Starbucks too.

Things are never going to be the same. Starbucks becomes an addiction to many.

Pizza Hut is still in Poland and it's doing very well. Burger King will come back to PL after a while. We have many coffe bars like Starbucks already. I think Starbucks will be their biggest competition.

Starbucks will be their biggest competition.

Especially their raspberry green tea drink.

So the West proposes their junk foods to Poland. What about the Polish cuisine - which POLISH food chains (are there any? - maybe "Chlopskie jadlo") have a chance to become a success in Europe or the world?

i avoid junk food whenever i can and wherever i am... but if there wasnt a market for it in poland then it wouldnt be here... see PH Sopot posting...

as for polish cuisine... i read an article just before christmas that suggested it was going to be the *next-big-thing* in london restaurants... no idea if there is any truth in it...
