Good for you. I find you annoying and arrogant.

I love comments like "I don't mind you". So what? As if it would change something if you said you did "mind" me?

I find you annoying and arrogant.

I know but I would expect nothing less from you.
You see, you can not take any criticism whatsoever and have huge amounts to dish out about Poland,.
The fact that you are on a Polish forum attacking it and defending America is your obligation, so I take no offence to that.

I love comments like "I don't mind you". So what? As if it would change something if you said you did "mind" me?

I was just saying what I think.

And Aphro as a Ukrainian I know you feel the need to unite with your Eastern brothers but they would throw you under the bus in an instant if it benefited them so might rethink that. Poles treat Ukraine the way they complain that others treat them...shows that anyone will take the chance to be the "boss".

Oh, I know that very well, you have no idea, however I refuse to gang up on Poland without some solid argument and cause and only if I have a case. I lived in Poland for a long time, so it is possible that I am much more tolerant and I take many things for granted. I can relate to a lot of things in Poland without having my cage rattled:)

Also, I have no need to unite with anybody, I think for myself most of the time and don't have a wolf pack attitude. I disagree with Ukrainians too on certain issues but that is another story.

I am tired of arguing, so dobranoc.

You see, you can not take any criticism whatsoever

You are not criticizing me you are just playing games. You post nonsensical comments trying to sound clever and failing immensely.

You can keep repeating that I can't take "it" about my country but there has been no "it". People here do not criticize the US they attack the posters that are FROM the US. Big difference. F-stop's childish "OMG Like yuck I replied to him OMG OMG!!!" nonsense is a perfectg example of the depth of intellect and maturity here.

You started out acting like a drunk tw@t....then try and change your angle when you see you are getting nowhere. Nobody buys that you were "joking" or any other such excuse. You really do think you are far more clever than you are and that is irrespective of your nationality.

"I just wonder if an average (again - no offense meant) American has got access to the same information as I do. You know - by watching TV, reading newspapers etc. My questions are not intended to blame anyone or something. I just have got this strange feeling that the Americans and the rest of the world are not living on the same planet.

I'll bite...

Reading some of your past post I can tell you're well versed and full of opinions on the US (and many other subjects which is great)... I guess the russkis would classify you as "inteligentia" but of course, they'd probably shoot you in the back of your head way back when but that's a different story. I also know that you have Dr. Mengele Syndrome - somehow you think your race (in this case nationality) is better than the rest of the world and immune to the plague of racism. Other nationalities? Sure, Germans, Brits, Americans, French, etc. can all be racist but Poles simply cannot. The catholic religion and our history makes it impossible... (I say our because I too am born in Poland) You think Americans live on an another planet? Yeah right, look in the mirror Mr. Perfectski... (or Ms. Perfectska ;)

1) Ring leader? what do you mean? I know he's my President and my Commander -in-Chief, is that what you're alluding to?

2) You sure he was trained by CIA and not by KGB? I'm sorry, I mean FSB. IF CIA "trained" him they surely screwed up majorly as he turned out to be the biggest lefty prez "CIA has ever trained". LOL

3) Well, I've had the privilege of having flown in supplies to our unit there three times in the last 5 years. It's a tiny place, hard or rather tight approach (due to the proximity of the Cuban airspace) and the "poor terrorists" are getting fatter by the hour.

4) So have the Spanish and the French. There was also a large German influence who at one point pretty much controlled the commerce on Haiti. What's your point?

5) Yes and no. Mujahedin were holy warriors supported by the US (and other western governments). Many were Afghans but even more came from other Muslim lands and their main goal was to free Afghanistan from the Soviet occupation, in other words they viewed themselves as freedom fighters who also happened to have the blessing of their religion - thus holy warriors - mujahedin.

Taliban (or Taleban) is a primarily religious movement and the majority of them are Afghanis and Pakistanis (especially influential in the Pashtun tribe).

For a long time the two groups (or rather the many groups as they're splintered in many tribal sections) fought a very bloddy battle. In fact, one of their best mujahedin commanders Ahmad Massod who was strikingly pro-western rightfully predicted that unless the West got rid of the Taliban and stopped the Taliban brainwash of young men sooner or later they'd turn their swords toward the West.

He tried to get help from Europeans and from Americans - his attempts were futile...

This is an excerpt from his speech to the European Parliament on April 6th, 2001 (less than 6 months from the 9/11 attack!)

April 6, 2001: Rebel Leader Warns Europe and US About Large-Scale Imminent Al-Qaeda Attacks

Ahmed Shah Massoud speaking before European Parliament. [Source: Robert Sanchez/ Black Star]
Ahmed Shah Massoud, leader of the Northern Alliance fighting the Taliban in Afghanistan, has been trying to get aid from the US but his people are only allowed to meet with low level US officials. In an attempt to get his message across, he addresses the European Parliament: "If President Bush doesn't help us, these terrorists will damage the US and Europe very soon." [DAWN (KARACHI), 4/7/2001; TIME, 8/4/2002] A classified US intelligence document states, "Massoud's intelligence staff is aware that the attack against the US will be on a scale larger than the 1998 embassy bombings, which killed over two hundred people and injured thousands (see 10:35-10:39 a.m., August 7, 1998)." [DEFENSE INTELLIGENCE AGENCY, 11/21/2001 ] Massoud also meets privately with some CIA officials while in Europe. He tells them that his guerrilla war against the Taliban is faltering and unless the US gives a significant amount of aid, the Taliban will conquer all of Afghanistan. No more aid is forthcoming. [WASHINGTON POST].

If we'd only listened, however to many "bean counters" at the State Department felt supporting Masood was a waste of money as Taliban would win the civil war no matter what. Osama feared Masood and his gaining popularity amongst the Afghans and 2 days before 9/11 arranged for 2 fake reporters to interview Masood. He would plead for more help from the West however the cameramen had explosives hidden in their equipment and Masood was killed.

Somewhat related - the widow to one of the assassins remarried to another jihadist...

Today Taliban and Mujahedin often work together however it's a "your enemy is my enemy" type of brotherhood. We (the US) screwed up in a great detail when we abandoned the mujahedin after their win over the Soviets. Wilson rightfully predicted it was a big mistake and that we needed to build schools and hospitals there to help them recover from the Russki occupation. Short term gains of saving money prevailed in Pentagon and just like Wilson predicted - they turned against us.

A good friend of mine (and a neighbor) is retired from the CIA and he said the movie was fairly accurate although they exaggerated Wilson's extravagance in the movie. Either way, good movie and a great history lesson too.

More importantly - what's your point? ...or what's your beef as I'm sure there's a reason to your diatribe...

You post nonsensical comments

I thought my comment made a lot of sense, that the OP is attacking the American people for a war that Poland is involved in and if he wants to attack people he should start with his own people.

People here do not criticize the US they attack the posters that are FROM the US.

So when you attack people from Poland it is fine but when you are attacked it is completely out of the question, I get it you have double standards.

Nobody buys that you were "joking" or any other such excuse.

I never said I was joking and I have no excuses, this is the way I view both this topic and you.
And you should ask Seanus about suggesting I had drinks the other night in your Private messages. You know why they are called private messages, don't you? not so you can throw unfounded hearsay into my face because you can not take criticism but you dish it out at every corner.

No you don't get it at all. Your are twisting the context to fit your little game. Also....I don't say anything in private that I wouldn't say in public. He assured me you weren't normally a tw@t but he appeared to be very wrong. You are the very definition of a tw@t.

I have zero interest in you or what you have to say at this point. You can keep writing in my direction if you want but I won't read your posts and am not going to play your games. So do what you gotta do but I am not playing :)

Unfortunately very true. However, it's slowly changing for the better. There's of course racism everywhere (yes enkidu it's true - of all people someone like you who's been raised by animals should know how cruel humans can be toward other humans ;)

I have friends of many nationalities and races and whenever Poland (or Sweden) is mentioned I always praise the country and it's people. I refuse blatant racism whether in Japan (you should hear how they often view Koreans or other gaijin) or China (they too can be very xenophobic) or anywhere I visit. I'm always polite and respectful of local traditions but will not listen to anti-Jewish, anti-this or anti-that stories. Well, Russians might be the exception maybe? No, I'm kidding of course. Many good Russians out there despite the many atrocities their ancestors committed against the Poles. Just look at Sasha, one of our PF members. An intelligent Russian interested in the Polish culture, how cool is that?

So while we all might have many disagreements on numerous things - I wish racism wasn't one of them. Like PLK said many Poles are racist but hopefully one by one those numbers will be dwindling...

someone does a bit of research before posting. very good, buddy. :)

Thank you. Actually have had the privilege of talking to a person who used to fight with Masood (he was our translator). Masood is considered a national hero there now (except al gaeda and Taliban of course) and I've heard some of our green berets say that the guy's battle strategies were just phenomenal. Brave and beloved by his own...

Geeez. People - thanks to you, this become a extra-trollish.
Can't you answer a simple questions without bragging about who is Real Patriot and who is the traitor?
All I asked is what you been told by the US media. I am not a judge. I am not interested in your personal feelings. I don't expect any explanations.

For instance SeanBM did answered to one of the question like that:
"2) Are you aware of the fact that he was trained by the CIA?
And Polish are in the war too?"

I know that Poland is an US ally. My question wasn't intended yo be provocative. There is no need to provoke me in return. Simple "Yes" or "No" as an answer would be much appreciated.

Mind this - I don't intend to start the discussion about CIA and US Central-Asian politics in the last 30 years. I just asked if you heard this story (maybe a lie - I can't be sure) before. That's all.

One more:

Envy makes people behave in strange ways. First you don't understand the modern international definition of racism and now you posit that the US doesn't get the "real story" was you enlightened Poles do? Haha....please.

As long as your "international definition of racism" is like:
"Yeah man - yo know- everyone knows that. C'mon!" I have got a problem with understanding it. You haven't got ANY definition. If you wish to convince me - I would be happy to be convinced.

If Osama isn't the leader he is a general. Wahabi islam is the real enemy here. I've read his "letter to America" years ago.

2. yes
3. no, I dont.
4. yes, Papa doc and Baby doc ring a bell?
5. yes.

If the question is are we able to understand motives and the corruptive nature of power and the true goal of media, The answer is yes.

I had breakfast with an Iranian Muslim who converted to Christianity yesterday morning. I'd love to talk more about it, but I want to drive my monster-truck down to McDonalds and get a Shamrock shake.

Just answer the questions. Questions and statements are quite different things, don't you think?

If the question is are we able to understand motives and the corruptive nature of power and the true goal of media, The answer is yes.

No. The question is not what do you understand or do not understand. Or about your feelings and attitudes toward certain topics. I just want to know if US media are telling you the same stories as European media to me. That is really, really all.

I know that the US is among a few countries (among China and Saudi Arabia) known for filtering the Internet. American citizens seems to be very supportive for their Government policy (which is a good thing. Loyalty is a virtue) . I am just wonder the stories they were told.

If I am questioning something - do I support it? I see it as the contrary. Really. I have no intention to blame anyone of anything.

Maybe it's my personal traits. I was born long time ago in the deep socialism. I was learned a lot of "obvious truths" that shouldn't be questioned. And I get used to questioning everything.

For instance: I was told that the Soviet Union is our biggest and most devoted friend, and we just can't survive without this friendship. I asked myself: Why? Is that true? And I begin to research. Mind this: at the beginning, I didn't exclude the possibility that what I was told IS the truth. I just need some proofs. That is all.

Questioning everything "obvious" is a common Eastern-European trait.

And no - I don't think this is trolling. There are some important questions need to be asked. Of course we can talk forever how corrupted the Polish police is - but is there any point in these discussions?

1) He's not, Al-Qaeda operates on independent cell based structure
2) Yes, it's all about business... Work for us or we'll f-u up
3) Gitmo is an ill-conceived attempt of controlling fanatics who have nothing to lose. If you look like one, you may end up there too.
4) Yes, Haiti is too close to the US. Any disturbance near the border of this country is not tolerated well.
5) What difference does it make. Germans were our enemies 70 years ago too.
