Travel / Traveling around Poland - our photo stories with very personal commentary [225]

Hey, you are wearing tracksuit pants. Were you dresiarz then? :):):)

Na, just a young laddie who didnt want his jeans covered in dirt. I killed a pig not long after so had to wear something cool in the heat also :)

Can you guess where it is from the background of the pic?

You don`t look too happy. ):):):) Because you had to eat carp?

I never ate it. The man sitting beside me is the guy who trains the Krk Police in unarmed combat :) Loved getting into places for free cos of him.

In Zakrzówek. How about an illegal dive from the rock?

I was tempted, but rather not :D

Well a few of mine from when I first moved to Poland :)

God I look so young in these pics!

  • Cutting the grass on the farm :)

  • First Polish Christmas with the "in-laws"

  • At the top of the hill, somewhere on Czech border

  • What to do on a sunny Saturday in Krk, have an illegal bbq!

Travel / Poland in photo riddles [3134]

Where did you stay? In the hotel or the other part? :):):):)

Hehe neither. We went hill-walking on the Czech border. Passed this place on the way back and had a goose around. It was interesting. It sticks in my mind cos a crow came and stole my ex's crisps and I got the blame for it :D

@paw, second pic is a psych hospital. on way to prudnik from krk. In the arches on the tower are the skeletons of some of the former residents. Ive been there once many moons ago. The standard of care is shocking.

Off-Topic / PF - The Omnibus Edition [1502]

Yes and yes. As phones get more and more like mini computers they become easier to infect with viruses. Mine has the flu at the moment.

Love / Help - evil Polish girl after my partner. [39]

Yep poor things... can't even speak for themselves.

I don't get what is soooo hard about telling another lass ***** off I'm already taken"... unless the guy has something for her. Mostly it's all down to egos.

Food / Singles (fake cheese) in Poland [19]

Poland has never been or never will be known as a decent cheese producing country, so this other stuff goes down quite well unfortunately:(

UK, Ireland / Brits dislike freshwater fish? [11]

Skate is nice. Skate eat mostly other life such as oysters, crabs ect where as carp tend to filter through the mud. In Scotland we have very few freshwater skates, most of our skates are in inland sea lochs.

UK, Ireland / Brits dislike freshwater fish? [11]

Pike has far too many bones, carp tastes too much like mud (I get the feeling most Poles wouldn't eat it either bar Christmas time). The rest of the fresh water fish I think are protected.

Edit: We do like eel and crayfish.
