California is serving wine in homeless shelters

I would imagine the shelters need to card some individuals, to verify they are within the legal drinking age. Many homeless people are teenage runaways. The shelters may be at risk of contributing to juvenile deliquency, if they don't ask their clients to provide a valid identification, before distributing beverages with alcohol content.

The pubs I had visited in Poland were very modern. I wouldn't have entered a building, looking as though it lacked required safety standards.

Mr Vinton, "The Polish Prince" made some great melodies. My mom told me my dad didn't like Bobby Vinton; that is until she told him he's Polish-American, lol :)

Just watched 1968 Doors concert on television. The keyboard player Ray Manzarek is Polish-American :)

really good sandwiches with great fillings, only problem is you have to be lucky to not be given the ones which sit right under the hot lamp making the cheese and ham sweat/change colour

Discolored meat doesn't sound very yummy. Sounds like quite a few health code violations there.

Nope, I was smart. Instead of spending money, I was out making money. I sold antiques at a flea market and did quite well indeed;)

I found raw pinto beans at a store called "Kuchnie Swiata"

I'm wondering if canned pinto beans are also available, at some stores in Poland.
