Life / What do locals believe represents Poland and its future? [17]

Very bleak.

Eastern and Central European economies are expected to do better than their counterparts in the west of the continent during the coming decades. However, while GDP growth in Poland should be healthy at 4.5% a year on average, a decreasing population may take the edge off the growing economy.

Love / So I am told Polish men are a chivalrous bunch? [49]

Older Polish men have never had to deal with the demands of today's feminists.
The younger men have been conditioned by the feminist not to look at them, talk to them, respond to them and in short be controlled by them.

(We have seen that first hand on this forum)
Consequently the younger men have lost the art of being chivalrous from being brow beat.
The feminist women then wonder why men just ignore them.

And if a guy did that to a feminist in America she would cry rape or perverted old man.
Poland is not a Politically Correct country and let's their boys be boys and they grow up to be men.
Here in the America the feminists are so Politically Correct that they don't allow their sons to be boys so they turn out to be fems or gay.

The wide bottom feminists like the fem guys because they can control them and brow beat them allowing the women to wear the pants in the family.

The hot woman though like the bad boys who are loud, obnoxious and can hold their own.
Yes boys pull the girls ponytail that sits in front of them in class, fart, burp, sweat, talk about girls anatomy, and are loud.
That's what boys do.
The teachers however want them to sit still in class and shut up so they suggest putting the little boy on Ritalin or some other tranquilizer so he just sits there quietly like a zombie and minds.

It turns boys into fems which what the feminists want to give them total control over the man even though they eventually end up divorcing the fem when their nest has acquired substantial finances and remarry a bad boy who makes them happy.

Poland however has not fallen for the feminist movement and the men still wear the pants in the family allowing the men to treat a woman like a lady.

That is why the Polish men are chivalrous and other countries men are not.

To equal out the "britarmy".
The point here is why are Polish men chivalrous without being directed to be so by the femanist movement like the rest of America and Europe are.

Still you must admit that Johnny Reb seems to have outdated ideas about women.

That is because I was fetched up before the feminist movement of the 70's.
Sine then the women have slowly conditioning men to become femmy and controllable.
I think Germany is now even putting some kind of estrogen related hormone in their food to mellow men out so they are not men acting anymore.

whose job it was to secure the helicopters

In which they failed and possibly put the lives of the entire ship in jeopardy.

apart from being canned for a while

They should have been court martialed and given twenty years of hard labor to set a precedent for the next self centered drunks that thought it would be cute to endanger innocent lives.

deliberate flaming with similar threats.

Most of the time as a guest poster.

I would suggest that a step in the right direction might be to get rid of the 24 hour alcohol shops.

Absolutely Atch.
The majority of people that buy alcohol before 10 a.m. or after 10 p.m. are full blown alcoholics.
They are a danger to others and themselves.

Civil liberties

It's my Civil Liberty to drive down the road with my family and not be in danger of having them killed by a drunk, it's my Civil Liberty to not be forced to pay for some alcoholic who was irresponsible causing public damage to others or himself, it's my Civil Liberty to be protected by law from inebriated people.

Alcoholics however can justify anything to continue their self serving drunkenness.

UK, Ireland / 31 year old Polish man causes accident under influence of alcohol and kills 8 [198]

All it took here in America was ONE MOTHER to organize a group called, "Mothers Against Drunk Drivers" or MADD.
Google it.
She had lost her daughter to a drunk driver and she had enough.
The organization grew leaps and bounds every time another innocent loved one got killed by a drunk anywhere in the U.S.A.
The fines and penalties grew so the courts where getting rich from these arrests.
The jails where getting rich because they were filled with drunks who had to pay for their own housing.
Part of the fines were added to the arresting police officers pension fund every time he made a drunk driving arrest to give him incentive to take these potential killers off the road.

After you get out of jail (usually 30 days for first offense, 90 days second offence, one year for third offence, five years in prison for forth offence) you are required to take classes (that you pay for) on being a RESPONSIBLE driver before you are allowed to renew your drivers license.

Many people lose their jobs because of this.
The car insurance companies are getting rich because once convicted of a drunk driving offense your rates sky rocket by 100%.
If an American is convicted of a drunk driving they are not allowed to enter Canada.
And all this was started by ONE mad mother.
Once Poland sees what a lucrative $$$$ maker this is the system can reap from taking drunk drivers off the road with 100% support from the citizens they will crack down like none ever before.

Being self induced drunk is no excuse for not being accountable or responsible for your actions is the way the courts see it.

News / Roman Polanski accused of unlawful sex with a minor [403]

They lied to him so he would take the plea deal of no prison time to get a conviction and once Roman agreed to the plea deal and was convicted they then reneged on the plea deal of no prison so he took flight out of the U.S. is my understanding.

Quite a common practice in the U.S.A. to get convictions.

USA, Canada / Polonian or Polish food in America better? [26]

For example, the Coca-Cola in Poland is much more sugary than that in the UK or Germany.

Very true as the Pepsi is so sweet in Jamaica that I had to start drinking rum and tonic instead of rum and pepsi.
I didn't want to, I had to. :-)

They're certainly commercially processed in Poland.

Thank you jon for enlightening me on that.
Just seems that the local Polish shops around where I live "make it look like" the imported meats and pierogi's are hand processed from Poland which makes them look much more appetizing. (and expensive)

Now they take 100kg of pork and get 120 kg of ham.

Same with ground beef here Roger.
Big stores will grind in ice to bulk the weight.
Get it home and thaw it (yuk) and then try to prove it.

USA, Canada / Polonian or Polish food in America better? [26]

Excellent choice Roz.
Soda pop is the #1 killer these days. (Average of 34 grams of sugar per 12 oz. !)
Once I quit soda pop, pasta's, ground meats and anything orange (besides oranges) the weight started falling off.
People today don't eat enough greens or drink enough water.
Cabbage is one of the healthiest foods that you can eat.

Polish-style foods are produced in America (sausage and smoked and cold meats, bread, pickled cucumbers, horseradish, pierogi, horseradish, mustard, etc.) as well as imported from Poland.

Polish meats & pierogi are not commercially processed like they are in the U.S.A. and have better seasonings and flavor.
The rest of the Polish foods produced in America however seems much more appealing.
Polish imports are extreme from either being bland or over powering with no happy medium. I.M.O.

USA, Canada / Polonian or Polish food in America better? [26]

a large jar of premium blueberry jam, a large white loaf and some fancy chocolate,

Blueberry jam = mega sugar
White bread = mega sugar
chocolate = mega sugar

sauerkraut and sausages and the soft drinks

Sauerkraut = mega salt
sausage = mega saturated fat and salt
soft drinks = mega mega sugar
Sugar is pure poison to the human body.

That corn syrup gets everywhere, you have to watch out for it.

Everything that is good is bad for you.
(Unless you enjoy oatmeal and raisons with tea like my ex sparrin' partner Atchy does.)

News / Roman Polanski accused of unlawful sex with a minor [403]

The judge isn't about to dismiss it even after Polanski's forty year sentence.
LOS ANGELES (AP) - A Los Angeles judge on Friday denied the impassioned plea of Roman Polanski's victim to end a four-decade-old sexual assault case against the fugitive director.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Scott Gordon ruled that Polanski must return to California if he expects to resolve charges of sexually abusing a teen.

No doubt Roman would die in prison being now he is 84 years old.

Law / Status of Protocol 12 to the European Convention on Human Rights [63]

he had a right to Polish citizenship because he was called "ski",

That qualifies me.

unless you look like the kind of person

How about the Scottish ex-pat guy and his wife living in Poland that were running an illegal business charging foreigners to do the paperwork to get them into Poland without being licensed to run such a government business ?

what's so difficult about getting citizenship

None if you are not a criminal.
Now perhaps that might be a huge factor for that ex - pat to obtain a Polish citizenship himself if someone notified the Polish Immigration Department and informed them of this crime.

Feedback / Why would Polishforum be banned on a server [24]

Given that he's banned for life, the evidence is right there.

Where ?
Are you "projecting" a rumor that "deep" is banned from Poland's internet ?

Probably just some glitch.

More than likely.

there's a very high chance that the poster known as "Deep" got it banned

Is that just your personal propaganda opinion or do you have some evidence that could substantiate such a silly statement ?

History / For what the Germans owe Poland one trillion U.S. dollars? [299]

I agree Crow.
Poland won the war, Germany lost the war and look who's economy and standard of living is thriving.
Something just ain't right here when it comes to redistribution of wealth.
Seems the winner should have the biggest and best and not the loser.

History / For what the Germans owe Poland one trillion U.S. dollars? [299]

the war reparations

Has anyone ever arrived at the amount of all the natural resources that Germany stole from Poland ?
ie: Minerals, metals, gold, timber, ect.)
I read somewhere that it was an atrocious amount.
And can an amount be set on the irreplaceable destruction, pain, suffering and loss of life for generations that followed ?

Life / English family in Wroclaw! [70]

The quality of life is much higher in richer countries, including the States, than it is in Poland, by any measure.

There is no doubt about that.
I have many friends who have moved to the States and they all say the same thing, "Europe is twenty years behind times."

As for that "slower pace of life" BS,

He has never been to the United States or never will so he doesn't understand how huge the United States is to have so much to choose from.

The fast city pace to the slow rural pace.
So many choices to choose from that Europe just doesn't have.
I am sure he loves living in Wroclaw now and will soon learn that it is not the hub of the world.

History / For what the Germans owe Poland one trillion U.S. dollars? [299]

As the EU takes Poland to court let's get real.
It's past over due for Germany to make it right with Poland.
Arakadiusz Mularczyk, a lawmaker with the ruling Law and Justice party, said Wednesday the Polish parliament's research office is preparing an analysis of whether to make the claim and will have it ready by August 11.

Defense Minister Antoni Macierewicz said a day earlier that Germans should now "try and pay back the terrible debt they owe to the Polish people."

World War II, which began with the German invasion of Poland in 1939, killed nearly 6 million Polish citizens and wrought huge material loss on the country, including the near destruction of Warsaw.

Work / Opening a kindergarten / daycare business in Poland [12]

I've been involved in founding a school

Perhaps King92 should ask you if you would like to share the name of that school as we find that very hard to believe with the problems that you've had with the last school you worked at.

Something to do with a lawsuit if we remember correctly.
Doubtful that you could produce the name of any such school.
Perhaps you could at least tell us what year you supposedly founded this school. lol

I'm now taking part in the formation of a brand new school.

What part ? What is your title ? Does it have anything to do with the administration planning board of this school or just an organizer for field trips for first graders ?

King92, this guy (from Scotland) is one shady character so before you share any of your personal information with him proceed with EXTREME caution.
He has been know to throw a monkey wrench into anyone's plans that compete with his employment in Poland.

Law / Blackmail is legal in Poland? [23]

Today I send cash again via western her answer was I will not accept this ... I only want cash.

Well of course so she can use that against you too.
Send it Western Union and tell her it is there to pick up, if she doesn't pick it up after a certain amount of time they send it back to you.

There, you have documentation that you tried to send her money.
Then send it to her again and again until you have documentation that you tried every month of the year to send it to her but she insisted on cash.

Bottom line is if you really love your daughter you will do what is best and that is not to cause unnecessary drama in her life.

Her mother knows exactly how it is ripping your heart out and that is why she has the heat turned up maximum.
The good news is that someday your daughter will understand what her mother deprived her from and will hate her for it.
I am guessing when she turns 12 -13 years old she will have no use for her mother as all girls that age hate their mothers.

Then it will be your turn to side with your daughter 100% as an allie without saying or doing one bad thing against her mother.
Your daughter will take care of that part as girls that age are VERY creative to get what they want and she will have her mother just a hopping knowing that you will side with her and back her up which will drive mama right up the wall.

Don't get mad, get even. ;-)

Law / Blackmail is legal in Poland? [23]

Your comments johnny rehab are non-supportive

I do apologize and probably should not have replied to you at all.
However after listening to you whine in three threads here now..........

◾Blackmail is legal in Poland?
◾Lost without my daughter - father rights in Poland
◾Advice needed on access rights and alimony payments regarding my Polish daughter

It is getting old, we all have our own problems and this isn't a self help forum.

there are 1000 of men screwed over by polish women for the same reason I was.

Wrong, there are multi millions of men as well as women that are screwed over.
It's called life so pull up your boots and deal with it and move on.
Your daughter will soon be of age to whom she wants to live with, mom or dad.
Until then I am afraid you are S.O.L.

before telling others what they should do.

You are the one that came here asking for advice about your very bad choice and now want to play the blame game.
I didn't make your irresponsible choice for you lad, you did it all by yourself.
Now you don't want to be held accountable for it like the mother of your child is doing to you and most likely any Polish court of law will do too.

Your little temper tantrum just now shows your real character which adds another piece to the puzzle.
In one of your other three threads on this same subject ◾Advice needed on access rights and alimony payments regarding my Polish daughter you claimed that your daughter did have your last name but in this thread you claim that she does not

No my name is not on the birth certificate.

You make things up as you go which shows another glaring piece to the puzzle.
So far we now know that you have a bad temper and are wreckless with the truth.

Who are you to tell me I should have got married

Someone needs to enlighten you son !
Your way didn't seem to work to well for you now did it.
Maybe you should go meet with her Catholic father and let him enlighten you too. (No, not a good idea)
Is that why she left you is because you refused to marry her ?
If so, no wonder she and her family wants you totally out of the picture.

Law / Blackmail is legal in Poland? [23]

This is not about me not taking responsibilities.

Of course it is.
If you would have married her first and got your lives established and then had a child instead of having a child first out of wedlock things might have gone more in your favor.

We only wish we could hear the other side of the story from the mother of your child to fill in the empty blanks.
