Why would Polishforum be banned on a server

I was in a Cafe bar in Warszawa Thursday and tried to access Polishforum, i can up as access barred I asked the staff why the site had been banned, they advised it was on a list of sites not to be accessed. Is this normal for Polishforum is that site banned access from many places in Poland.?

For sure because of people like me who mercilessly virtually f*** all who works against Poland, including political opposition and ruling establishment in Poland, NATO and EU leading countries.

Especially exposing idiot Duda, whose deception of Polish patriots was successful, so that my Polish sisters and brothers awake and stop that creature from ruining Poland from within.

They were probably just guessing. Most likely someone had been posting rubbish from the cafe in question (or the network they use) and PF blocked the IP.

If it was in Warsaw, there's a very high chance that the poster known as "Deep" got it banned during one of his many incoherent drunken tirades.

whats weird is how dome when your account gets banned or suspended from one network (so specific ip address since each network or wifi has its own) and it follows you even when you go somewhere else like a cafe on a completely separwte network. How iw thst oossibly pf can track you or your device across networks?

They don't need to. There's only really a handful of major internet providers in Poland, most of which present a single IP for all their users.

They can't. It looks like it's to do with the network rather than the person. I'm not banned or suspended, yet I couldn't post from the PKP wifi on a train in Poland or a cafe wifi in Berlin - it looks like the whole system they use is blocked.

well recently i was suspended and couldnt even access the forums from other networks with the same iPad here in Warsaw.

Is that just your personal propaganda opinion or do you have some evidence that could substantiate such a silly statement ?

I tried to access this site a while ago now and both Firefox and Chrome would not allow access because the owner apparently didn't have a valid security certificate. That was the message I kept getting up on my screen anyway. Maybe if that type of message had come up on screen in the cafe, the owners barred access to the forum thinking it was a security risk? Just a guess.

Given that he's banned for life, the evidence is right there.

That's about your account rather than the IP or the network. Two different issues.


I had much the same recently. It was only a temporary thing, lasted a few minutes. Not sure what that was about.

no i wasnt even logged in i dont think because you have to log in to post and dont have to access the forum.

In that case, it's probably the network being blocked rather than anything else. Did you get a picture of one of the mods with a bit of text about the IP address being associated with trolling/spamming? That's what I got on the train - I wasn't logged in because I was using a spare phone and couldn't remember my password.

I couldn't access the site for the whole day. Probably just some glitch.

That sounds right. I'm in a country for a while that has 'less-stable' internet and it happens all the time for all sorts of sites, even the Radio Times or Amazon sometimes. If I connect to my UK VPN that I use for watching TV etc, it connects without a problem. A technical glitch sounds most likely.

A couple of times over the past year or so, PF has been off for a while everywhere, probably maintainance either by the service provider or by PF. Usually lasts a few hours.

I've noticed that too, probably Admin tinkering with the forum, but as the OP said that he was told PF had been banned and was on a list of sites not to be accessed, I can only think of security issues with the site being a reason for that. If he was told the truth that is.

I find it mildly amusing that the biggest mobile phone company in the world is blocked from Polishforums.

Given the amount of trolling done by a couple of members on here, it shouldn't surprise anyone.

That and inexplicable. Doubtless there are good reasons, though it's still a drag if you're on train wifi or at an airport with time to kill and you can't post.

For certain there are plenty of reasons, given how the poster known as "Deep" repeatedly attempted to post on PF with his insane diatribes while banned.

Polishforums is last hint of Sarmatism in worldwide Polish media, last oasis of freedom, last institution that have potential to bring positive changes to Poland. So for sure it faces problems such is banning.
