In case of umowa o dzieło I think there's no ZUS (only income tax and NFZ), ZUS need to be paid in case of umowa zlecenia (unless It is already paid in some other way) however fixed ZUS payment is only for people running a company, ZUS of those employed by someone is a fraction of their income, so it's not possible to be employed and pay more in ZUS than the income...

I know that ZUS is a lot cheaper for the first two years of trading, but she wouldn't earn enough to even cover the discounted ZUS.

You mean If she set up a 1 person company... ? But she doesn't have to do that... he can just... employ her... on umowa zlecenia or some other form...

If you have money, Venus is probably one of the best hotels in Mrzeżyno ;)

Hotel Senator seems to be the best one but it's quite expensive, generally in places like that, one can find decent guest houses for 60-70 PLN a day per person.

i am thinking of these places Dźwirzyno;Mrzeżyno; Ustronie Morskie and Międzyzdroje.

Rewal/Niechorze/Trzęsacz area could be worth considering too, in the summer there's a retro train going along the coast between these places, which is a cool thing.

There's been some rumors since a few years that they are going to open a Polish branch but only rumors...

It isn't a trusting society and there is scepticism about buying things you can't see, feel or ask the shop assistant ten minutes of pointless questions about.

Do you realize e-commerce has been growing rapidly here ? It's just the strategy of Amazon seems to be to concentrate on the largest markets.

If you are working on umowa o prace (standard contract) haven't change the employer in 2012, don't have any additional incomes, don't run a company etc. It's a piece of cake... at least for somebody, who knows Polish... you should get PIT11 at work and you basically write it down into PIT... 37 (as far as I remember) and check If you need to pay/get back anything... unless accounting department at work screwed up something, there should be nothing more to pay... you can bring it completed to the tax office and person behind the desk may scheme it to check if it is correct... and that's it... for a Polish speaking person it's a matter of 15 minutes, better buy a beer someone from work to get it done for you or ask accounting people, If they employ foreigners, they should help with it...no need to spend any extra money.

It's one of the best univ level school in Poland, however I don't have any first hand experience with them, so hard to say If it is due to teaching quality or more due to attracting skilled students... Besides hard to tell how much their degree is worth abroad... but for sure it's not any clown school.

It really depends on ones' lifestyle... generally services are a lot cheaper in most cases, rent/bills/food cheaper but not that much, consumer goods, usually the same or more expensive.

But is it a fair and reasonable wage???

You could find somebody for significantly less but then you would probably have to forget about "performing beyond the call of duty" and so on, so I'm not sure If it's worth it.
