Guest 10 Feb 2009 / #2You can try in N_okiaSiemensNetworks, they have a lot of job offers and they also hire students. You don't even have to speak polish :)
OP Raj_ryder 10 | 106 10 Feb 2009 / #3cooooolthank you man is that office in wroclaw or somewhere else???
LondonChick 31 | 1,133 10 Feb 2009 / #4Um... why don't you try googling them (oh, the irony !!) .Show a bit of initiative and give them a call.
OP Raj_ryder 10 | 106 13 Feb 2009 / #5umm i did google them i know they have student jobs but i wanted to talk to somebody who has worked there or something...they dnt pick up their effing phones(tried that too) and they did pick up this one time and kept me hanging for like an hour before finally telling me that the HR person wasnt in...
delphiandomine 88 | 18,331 13 Feb 2009 / #6Just an aside - you might find that they will demand proof of financial status before granting you a student visa. If you can't afford to come to Poland without working - then you might very well get rejected for a visa for that reason.
OP Raj_ryder 10 | 106 7 Mar 2009 / #7yeah i knw that and i guess its not that hard to "show" the money spending it ofcourse is a different thing i just have to earn arnd 1/4 of my living cost every month and im thru if u knw what i mean.
delphiandomine 88 | 18,331 7 Mar 2009 / #8How much are you looking for? You could probably earn up to 10zl an hour easily enough, but I wouldn't hold out for any more. There will be opportunities in big companies - but it's by no means a certainty, especially as Poland is churning out very high quality information scientists.
stormhorse 1 | 16 10 Mar 2009 / #9Um... why don't you try googling them (oh, the irony !!) .Show a bit of initiative and give them a call.Ha ha, you are a snappy creature!!! in a funny way! don't be offended please ; )
bimber94 7 | 254 14 Mar 2009 / #11Namaste Ji! Why you are desiring employment in Poland, when you may obtain higher salary cutting mud on the outskirts of Kolkata, thank you please? You must be knowing, sahib, Poland is still in the process of emerging into the 21st Century (thereby bypassing the 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th Centuries, in many ways). Ap malum ye? But don't mention the world is round. You may get some name and fame by establishing a wayside village shrine dedicated to Lord Ganesh, but don't expect it to be tolerated for over a quarter of a nanosecond. OK, more seriously, it may make more financial sense for a Pole to work in India. No kidding.
OP Raj_ryder 10 | 106 23 Mar 2009 / #12How much are you looking for?Ummm 10 zl an hour sounds good enough i spose!! like a i said i need only 1/4 of my living cost! I can stay in the university housing for 313 zl a month sothat probably decreases my cost by a huge amnt. So i guess i can make do comfortably with a 1000 zl a month. What say?
delphiandomine 88 | 18,331 24 Mar 2009 / #13If you're talking about needing to make 1000zl a month, then you'll struggle. Polish universities don't understand the need to schedule classes at sensible times, so you might find yourself with two evening classes and two afternoon classes - thereby cutting into the hours that you can actually work.10zl an hour should be easy though.
bimber94 7 | 254 25 Mar 2009 / #1410zł per hour? Someone should inform them slavery has been abolished.
delphiandomine 88 | 18,331 25 Mar 2009 / #15There's people working on public road projects in Poznań that are earning less than that - for a job that is physically demanding and exhausting.

OP Raj_ryder 10 | 106 31 Mar 2009 / #17If you're talking about needing to make 1000zl a month, then you'll struggle.umm no i need 1/4 of a 1000zl a month thats 250 zl...doesnt sound like much to me! what do you think? what do foreign students do there anyway>?(those who dnt teach)
