Poles in the UK sleeping in toilets

No I'm not but as I said if you find a niche or develop a product then you move yourself out of the common market.

My friend does partitions and suspended ceilings. Finding a niche has not proved easy. But even if he could, should he have to?

I'm not sure about this. I don't know any Polish people who live in toilets or pay 20p a night to stay where? I only know Polish people who pay the going rate for privately rented accomodation and who wish to get on to the property ladder as soon as they can. Thats not a sarcy comment either btw!

This was said due to the topic of the thread, and my remembering a group of Poles working on a job which they were being paid well for, deciding to sleep on site to save accommodation costs (is this even legal?). I may be wrong, that may not be why the guy stayed in the public toilet, but when I saw comments about him being spotted with tools, it reminded me of this, so I posted. Obviously I would not claim this as fact, just something to add to the debate.

No-one would say that sleeping in toilets is classy, it's often an act of desperation but as u acknowledged, Brits do it too. Yeah, Poles compound the problem but at least they don't harm people. OK, for me, the Polish language isn't melodic like English is but it's not gutter talk either. Their language is quite rich. Mail order brides? I think u r thinking about Russia amigo. As for the height of civilisation, well, Japan rates very highly. The crime rate is almost the lowest in the world and they are higher-tech than us Brits. Ne, mon ami? Why r u so anti-Polish mein freund? Directed to noimmigration of course

I am, we're just writing out of sync.

It would seem so. I'll bear this in mind.

Also, I'm not dismissing the experience of others. It appears I am commenting on what you said your friend said!?

Yes you are. It is my experience of my friends grief. It shouldn't mean it doesn't count though.

I'm not up for arguing, I just get irked when a debate is one-sided. For every Polish worker undercutting a Brit, there's a least twice as many Brits expoliting a Polish worker. That is fact in my part of the country unfortunately.

No arguments here from me, this is a sad fact. It doesn't mean there is zero negative effect coming the other way though.

This is rare - honestly.

deciding to sleep on site to save accommodation costs (is this even legal?

I don't know. It probably breaks some kind of Health & Safety Reg though seeing as you can't even wipe your ass on site without the proper safety equipment!

I just want to reiterate that all I know for sure is that in this region your average Polish worker in the building industry can expect to receive a wage of approx 50% the going rate for a British worker doing the same work.

And I don't know anyone who lives in a toilet!

Yes you are

See I told you it was out of sync! We are agreeing not to argue but also still arguing. Typical man and woman discussion! Haha

It's a free-floating evil that can EASILY be tolerated noimmigration. Poles are seen as intolerant, apparently one of their cardinal vices, so rise above that and show urself to be tolerant and turn ur head and let the govt and politicians do what they are paid handsomely to do. The majority don't like bums (not the kind Elton John likes btw) but they are a social reality and cannot be ignored completely. Tolerance wins u friends unless u live a sheltered existence

you did not listen to me, the british do NOT travel all the way to another country and sleep in a public toilet like the poles do.

seci=ond before the european union accepted poland, polish mail order brides were numerous. basically they ****** themselves to get out of eastern europe.

This is sad for all involved. Brits with a mortgage could not afford the wage drop, so are being forced out as the construction industry can get away with employing Poles for half of this.

What region do you refer to?

Hope not, I won't able see it as I haven't registered. That would make for a really messed up discussion!

What region do you refer to?

The South East. I can't speak for Inner London or further north then the Midlands. I'm sure its greatly different up north.

But I don't want to start generalising so I say my region, as I can only confidently talk about what I see and work amongst. Otherwise I'm giving out ill-informed info and we can't have that now can we!

I'm in Bournemouth, and I don't think it is as bad as 50% here. I'm sure it is less though.

The construction trade should be ashamed. I work in manufacturing and the Poles at our place doing the unskilled work generally get more than the Brits doing the same. This is simply because they are over qualified, better, and worth more. What this does do though, is ensure that this work is still a viable option for Brits with mortgages as wages are not dragged down.

Yep, but again, not all employers are like that. Some offer fairer terms but I have yet to meet one which is truly an equal opportunities employer, if you know what I mean.

I work in manufacturing

Umm.. interesting... but I can't comment as I don't know anything about this!!

I'm going out now. I suggest you register and see if you can learn anything new from us guys and us from you :-)

That's bcoz Brits generally fix up jobs b4 they go noimmigration. It's not necessarily the fault of those Poles who lost out in the job market in the UK due to mass immigration and competition for jobs. Any intelligent person knows that it's easier to look 4 a job when u r in 1 like I did when I transferred school here but my CV gets me places I guess. Maybe these people are stuck in the 'toilet trap' but not everyone was born intelligent or was given a fair rub of the green in life. I c ur points but try and be fair

Actually if you had bothered to read the article, the poles living in the toilet were working.

and on the ther hand if they could not find jobs then they should have ****** off back to where they belong.

Moderator, I'd like to ask once again for banning this racist, hate-spreading psychopathic rat from this forum. What he's been doing here is hate propanada, and it's illegal in the UK. Such hate propaganda leads to physical violence against Poles. Just recently, a similar psychopath like this one here, also in Scotland, has been sentenced to a long imprisonment for murdering (knifing down) a Polish young man. Prior to the murder, the psycho had frequently insulted Polsh people in public. Is this forum a dump for various Polonophobic misfits and scumbags? Please don't encourage this hate propaganda here. Right after Christmas we'll file a human rights complaint against this rabid rat and sexual pervert.

We'll get you, rat. :)
