By the way, a question - ignoring all the hypothetical one-Ireland stuff and going on current realities, how would you defend the Irish border?

An all Ireland immigration bureau.

Coming from a person whose country raped its way across more than a quarter of the planet, enslaving people as it went, that's pretty fecking funny!

Well lets look on the flip side, the empire provided jobs, security, an end to many tribal conflicts and it truly opened up the world which paved the way for globalisation which is what we have now so i would say that it has benefited ar$eholes like you and your chumps more than it has me.

There are tens of thousands of UK nationals in reciept of welfare in Ireland too. I cannot complain as you rightfully point out, Irish did the same in the past. Our welfare rates are three times that of the UK. It is reciprocal, unlike the situation with eastern europeans.

I think the problem with ireland is its trying hard to replace the population loss it has experienced over many years and its coming at a cost.

I could go on, but Ive a pain in me hoop with LIEsbon.

hehe that tickled me :D, good luck for next friday i have a feeling that history may well be in the balance.

How long would Irish citizens have to reside in Poland before qualifying for said benefits? How many Irish are on said benefits, if any at all?

I can tell you this, there are 50,000 Poles on benefits here. Coosting us anything from 530,000,000(minimum) to 1,000,000,000(maximum) per annum.

I neither know nor care how many Irish are claiming benefits here. The point is that they have exactly the same right to do so as Polish citizens. This is called equality. I know that for the last 30 years some Irish might have got used to special treatment from the EU but now you're just going to have to get used to your new role in the EU. Either that or give back the 32 billion quid you got from the EU and enjoying waiting for the next time potato blight arrives.

For a small nation of 3.5 million citizens, we are a generous bunch.

For a nation which has been given more than ten thousand Euro each, you can afford to be generous.

You do realise that to work legally in the US of A you need a green card? To qualify for a green card you need have skills that the US of A needs.

Oh look! You're really showing the strength of your argument there: got to lie to support it!

A convicted criminal can breeze through Irish border controls without a care in the world, which regularly occurs.

And a convicted terrorist can breeze through Polish border controls. Thanks for that.

Oh, I see: when you British were killing tens of millions of people and stealing their land, you were actually doing it for their own good! Looks like your family must have had a rather different experience of colonialism than mine did.

The Empire was an awesome thing, we need to get it back! Look how quickly technology progressed when it was still a world power? The countries which were part of the British Empire all progressed nicely too.

Britain needs to get it back ASAP

I said on the flip side, if you had fully understood that then you would realise i was pointing out that there is always good and bad in every situation.

just like with all the poles here, the companies and the government benefit while the nation suffers, now lets see if you are so quick to condemn them.
