Hi there,
I'm visiting Poland and was wondering what are the best places for a tourist to visit? I have heard that Szczecin is a nice harbour city and that Krakow is also lovely.

Any advice would be appreciated and I'd also love to see snow as we don't get snow where I am. I live on a beach in Australia...

Thanks Jason

krakow(The old Town, Castle) krakow.pl/en is nice
(nearby Krakow are Wieliczka muzeum.wieliczka.pl/pl/english.html - salt mine and Auschwitz - Oświęcim - consentration camp auschwitz.org.pl/

and Wroclaw wroclaw.pl/m6843/ are nice, I have never been to Szczecin,so I dont know,

I love poilsh mountains (Tatry mountains ezakopane.pl/poland/)where you can find snow, because you can't be sure that snow will be everywhere in Poland, now is no snow but is still cold, and according to forecast in few days should be snow again.

I am from Warsaw and if you are interested in some communism time buldings ti is good place, there is huge Palace of Culture - e-warsaw.pl, castle rebuilt after war (so is not old but looks like:) and other palaces and museums. many people hate (is gray and depressing) my city but it has some atmosphere.

Have a nice time in Poland !! :) :)

Fly in to Warsaw (Hotel Mazowiecka) on Mazowiecka street - it's cheap and posh. Go out to old town, nowy swiat, clubbing at night. If you are young, male and single - you'll love it. Mazowiecka street has Paparazzi (bar) and Enklava (club). Yes Warsaw looks battered but it's adictive. Train to Gdansk (3 hours). You'll love the trains, old fashioned compartments with 6-8 people - always meet interesting people - nice ladies (journey 3 hours - lots of time to talk). In Gdansk shop and party again. Then train to Sopot - little beach town, nice with lots of bars and clubs. Train to Posnan (shop - party) Train to Wroclaw (shop - Party!) Train to Krakow - get some culture - then shop and party (Prozak club) When you sober up, catch bus to mountains (2 hours) Zakopane and skiing (Dec - March) Zakopane has loads of shops and you guessed it - bars and clubs. Train back to Krakow and fly home. I guarantee you'll be back for more. Total price approx $600 US 10 days (2 days skiing).
