Radoslaw Sikorski (Polish minister of foreign affairs)- what is the deal?

Can someone explain to me what's up with Radoslaw Sikorski, the Polish minister of foreign affairs? Whenever I hear news from Poland he's the main figure. As far as I can tell he's just one of several ministers in the government run by Donald Tusk (Polish prime minister). Why is he trying to be in the news flash all the time? He thinks he's the next Wladyslaw Sikorski or something? Or he just does what Tusk tells him to do - to make the Polish president's job more difficult and/or compromise him when there's a chance.

Is it overall good for Poland to have so "independent" and conflicting minister? Especially that he used to have a British citizenship and his wife is.. an American? How strategically-safe it is for Poland to have such a person on so high governmental position?

In these conflicts both sides are guilty, the level of populism is depressing...

I think that Sikorski himself had ambition to become president in the future. He wanted to have good relations with PiS and PO. However cooperation with president was not very good when he was minister of defense in Kaczynski government. He left the government but rather in peaceful manner. But when he decided to join PO during election campaign twins felt that he betrayed them.

"Radek" always craed a lot about PR but I wouldn't say that British citizenship or American wife is a problem - the first one he took because of practical reasons and I don't think that his wife's nationality should matter especially that Sikorski is rather not a fan of servant mentality in Polish-American relations.

Especially that he used to have a British citizenship

so many Polish people have 2 citizenships, now he has one.

I don't think that his wife's nationality should matter especially that Sikorski is rather not a fan of servant mentality in Polish-American relations.

I like Sikorski and he is good minister and books of his wife are very good.

This minister is the best thing what could happen for Poland.
When president Kaczyński will be out of office there will be no problems to have normal pro european policy. British are happy to see Poland being brake in EU. That is why they want Turkey in union etc (generaly everybody who wants join). Strong europe with one foreign policy is in Polands business Kaczyński is old fashioned politician and Sikorski should be Polish president or PM in the future. Anny way Ireland is going to repeat referendum and europe is going to have this constitution.
