Poland..wake up to a multicultural world

Its time...i say its time for Poland to wake up..the rest of Europe has left you behind. I am speaking from the position of poles relationship with different cultures of this wonderful world. If u need to progress, you need a multicultural society, made up of whites, yellows, browns, blacks. If you continue to put up an intollerant attitude towards foreigners...it wont be long before u realise that this world is way ahead of U guys. As i watch Obamas inauguartion (i am in Washington), i stand in awe as he is about to be the 44th president of the US.

The Guest makes a statement meant to provoke...It is very fine to appreciate other cultures: art, food, ways of looking at the world...This is the spice of life...But, to think that you have to make your own country a 'multi-cultural mosaic' is absurd and dangerous...The primary purpose of this 'multi-culturalism' is the lowering of wages for the country that hosts these immigrants, and the watering down of their own national culture...Why make Poland into a land of 'little Somalias, Vietnams, Chinas' etc?...European countries have enough of a problem dealing with each other, let alone a host of different racial groups from Africa and Asia and elswhere...And, if you stand in awe of Obama, you don't understand what his purpose is...Any US president works for certain forces, and Obama just happens to have a Black skin...This impresses people like the Guest, who is easily impressed.

Poland, as well as all other countries should preserve their own ethnicity, nationality if you will. It's great to absorb other cultures, know them, respect them, but still preserve your own. What will the world become? People who don't know who they really are? It may sound great to be ALL and ONE at the same time, but it's not practical. Viva la difference!

when you live in a multicultural society there is always someone else to coveniently blame

on the other hand poland, with all her faults, is entirely the responsibility of the poles

has it ever occurred to you that Poland HAD NO COLONIES OR SLAVERY...that is why the ppl there are mostly white

Nope. It's because of fascist and later communist plan to exterminate all minorities living in Poland. That's why they killed one our greatest inheritance, the Jews and Jewish culture, that's why they moved the borders and resettle people by their nationality.

In our greatest time about 50% of people living in Poland were not Polish, there was huge immigration from Scotland, France, Russia and muslim countries.

Current Poland is, as Norman Davis mentioned once, very unnatural creation. It has nothing to do with slavery.

I am an Irish Catholic and a republican. It pleases me to see the number of Poles heading home, it's better you are with your families in Poland than living in a country in a recession with no work, than sitting over here taking taxpayers benefits and enjoying our welfare system.

Then you know Irish history and the mass immigration to far away lands to seek a better life.
And in those far away lands people spoke like you about us.
Or have you forgotten already?.

There will always be users and abusers of systems, try not to fall into the trap of labelling all Polish people (or anyone else for that matter).

than sitting over here taking taxpayers benefits and enjoying our welfare system

Would that be British taxpayers benefits or Irish? Surely as a republican you would want the Poles to head north and drain the UK taxman some more?

He told me some stories about racist attacks i tell ya. i felt so sorry for him i gave him 200 PLN.

This guest is pulling your leg people, please, he/she's having a laugh. Either he/she's the most unintentionally funny chap to visite forum full of nonsense and shit or they're just mocking around. Everyone knows the more blacks in a country the worse the country gets, sigh! - a bad example of taking the micky.

coming from a multicultural country, i have to say it is very very over rated. There are so many things wrong with pushing that agenda that i have no idea where to start. Poland doesn't need boatloads of somalis, rwandans chinese or indonesians. It's time people within a country focus on their countrymen and women first before undergoing the multiculturalism experiment.

i felt so sorry for him i gave him 200 PLN.

you're a saint, thanks for telling us all how generous you were.

If you people love the minorities so much, we Americans can send you a good variety. We have all colors.

That's generous. You can start with all the white European ones who stole the land from the Natives a few centuries ago

Sorry, too late. All of those involved were retro-actively executed for their crimes.
Still, if you want to fault the various European nations for sending colonizing forces to America in the past centuries, good luck.
All nations have been conquerors and also been conquered themselves at some point in their history. Likewise in the Americas. We have enough 1,000 year old grudges without adding a few more.

So what? I just think it's funny that the n'th generation son of an immigrant is complaining about immigration. Some people are never happy eh?

Whatever. Go back to sleep

True....
I do see the irony...sometimes I think I start losing my sense of humor through various political arguments, and it has to be pointed out to me again, from time to time...

I could argue

In our greatest time about 50% of people living in Poland were not Polish, there was huge immigration from Scotland, France, Russia and muslim countries.

What was possible under monarchic system is hardly possible after age of Enlightenment.

black people, white people, brown people, yellow people, violet people, indigo people, red people, orange people, purple people, wheatish people, olive people, technicolored people.... come.

Only if they already became part of western civilization. Otherwise, this is dangerous utopia.

I am an Irish Catholic and a republican. It pleases me to see the number of Poles heading home, it's better you are with your families in Poland than living in a country in a recession with no work, than sitting over here taking taxpayers benefits and enjoying our welfare system.

Unlike some posters here I see that you have good opinion about Polish workers.

He told me some stories about racist attacks i tell ya. i felt so sorry for him i gave him 200 PLN.

You are hell of materialist! :))

Well said, immigration is good when people come from civilizationally close countries and aren't offered social welfare.
