I'm a Polis Sci/English Lit double major. Although some gender studies classes have been known to happen :)Are you in school too?

yep, I am in Toronto, double major:sociology/women/gender studies:) - mature student though, so I take some stuff with a pinch of salt:)

That is interesting. I like tinkering with processing digital photography, although lately not much time for that.

Oh I know.
I took a "women novelists" course once and I completely mixed Aphra Behn with mud,and then stomped her. I got 100% for the essay but the prof was pissed off with me :)

Lets just say that it is the requirement of the school I am studying at.

very, I loved every minute of it, but then got busy with other things. It is an amazing hobby though and a time consuming one. I do mostly traditional photography and the SLR is my friend. I can see a lot of people playing due technology, but I seem to like the old style and techniques.

Miranda ! Do you ever take time out for simple lifes pleasures like going out on a date? You are so busy. Don't burn out early!

is that a real concern or you just feel intimidated by educated women;)

it is true that I do a lot of things, I am a Gemini so I need to be busy in order to be happy. Just my nature, just my nature. I have time for dating too;)

It would be hard to intimidate me. I am the master multi-tasker. For instance : Currently I am working on a proposal for a 12 million dollar school and still I find time to write you. I am a Leo . I have seen my self and others inundated by our ambitions. Are we trying to avoid other personal issues of life?

yes, and no. If yo a looking for a simple answer that you are out of luck;). It is just a sign of times we live in and most people are really busy to stay afloat. There is nothing wrong with it. I belive that people make personal choices about their lifes, wheather they want to admit it or not.

the real danger is where to stop and smell the roses . So to speak. Some of us have such drive to be successfull and the need to further educate our minds. One must also not forget the simple intangible things that make life worth while.

agree, but I haven't done it in a long time:(. I have realized it a couple of weeks ago and I am amking changes already. Sometimes I have a tendency to forget about it, but living in the big city makes you behave like that. Although I make sure that I get time off for nice things for myself.

are you taling about yourself? I am back at school in order to make more money:) - simple as that.

One must also not forget the simple intangible things that make life worth while.

I agree. It is easier to do it living outside of the city I would say, where one is closer to nature. Funny thing happend this summer. I went to teh cottage and could not sleep bacause it was TOO quiet;).

Even in a city like Chicago you can have moments of peace. I used to go bike riding on the outer drive after midnight. It was very peaceful and beautiful. #2 I am also back in school even though I have a very good income. I just wish to have a large retirement nest or at least have comfort money put away. #3 You should be able to sleep anywhere. No comfort for the restless soul.

As for fake nails....they creep me out. Have you ever been beside a woman with fake nails and she had to scratch her arm or something? I could almost hear her skin breaking from those claws.

Now that's creepy lol !
Tiny story:
I'm sitting on the train/subway and next to me there is a woman with fake nails exactly like it shows in the picture you posted. Then she drops her metrocard, and tries to pick it up and goes "can you pick it up for me, my nails won't let me" Hahaahah Okay I gave it to her. I bended over, touched the dirty train's floor with my finger tips, just to give her a metrocard. I'm way too nice Lol !!

NO, it is not my cup of tea at all:). I rather die than go there. Why do I get a feeling that you think that I don't know how to have fun Mr Yard. That is presumptious and patronizing of you;).

I rather die than go there

People have fun in the ways that suite them best. Sometimes going to where you would never dream of going is where you need to go. MAybe it is the step away from reality. Do you fear this step? I never thought I would go there either. I said what you did . I have not been back since, however , I now have a different feeling towards it. Yes presumptious. But that is life and quite normal to be so in such a format. As you are the same and so are most in this respect. I find your words in your reply to have a reality behind them perhaps hiding a need for fun. Almost an anger brought about by some hidden truth. Presumptious?

I find it interesting that you did not argue with that comment and went for the redirect towards me. Maybe you would care to explain further?
