I know what you mean about the cuteness factor with girls. I love girls that act like.... girls :)
When a girl gets overly excited about a "cute" dog or cat I tend to think "awww" in my head about the girl lol. I think it's the sweet and innocence that I like about girls.

I go to sleep dreaming of dancing teddy bears and wake up to pf where the discussion is 12 year olds sleeping with teddy. I still have my first and only stuffed toy. It sort of still looks like a bear. I like to put stuffed animals in the girls dresser so when she opens the drawer and gets all excited. Age has no boundry with stuffed toys . After all, when you get older you go back to baby likeness and stuffed toys are once again your friend. So Pani keep that stuffed bear arround . You may need it for the next hundred years. Think about that. You may be arround this earth that long!
