As a Brit living and working in Poland i have to go to my local government office to register as a resident here.....So , every three months i meet this lovely lovely lady there who always has a lovely smile , is very helpful, and has the most beautiful eyes i have ever seen.....over the years we have become quite friendly although we cant communicate very well......I know she has a young daughter , but i don,t know if she is married or not , my feeling is she is not.....We talked about meeting to teach each other our languages , and i offered to repair her car for her.....I am a man of the world , and know plenty about women , but this one is special , and Polish , how do i let her know i like her very much without risking the friendship , and how do i ask if she is in a relationship without offending her....She is a lovely person , and i don,t want to make a wrong move here.....advice please Polish ladies.....

Bajka, don`t be so tough on a man in love!

I am a man of the world , and know plenty about women , but this one is special , and Polish , how do i let her know i like her very much without risking the friendship , and how do i ask if she is in a relationship without offending her....She is a lovely person , and i don,t want to make a wrong move here.....advice please Polish ladies.....

Just ask her out. She won`t feel offended, even if she is hooked. She will be glad to know that a nice guy got interested. As a man of the world, you certainly realise that women like brave guys. Don`t they?

<LC wonders whether it is worth taking the p1ss out of yet another saddo who has fetishised Polish ladies, but decides that she can't be arsed>

1. Get her out of the office - invite her for coffee or for lunch... somewhere on neutral ground, plus if it all turns awkward, she can always use the excuse of getting back to work as a get-out clause.

2. Take it from there <LC refrains from using the term "suck it and see"> be patient and go with the flow.

3. Keep an open mind and avoid behaving like a stalker.

My advice is just be yourelf and see what happens, if you change anything you do normally, she will notice for sure. There is no harm in asking her out for a drink after work one night, hell even ask her to the movies, If she says no then you walk away and lick your wounds, if she says yes then you go with the flow and see what happens.

As for the marriage and kids part, don't even worry about that yet, just go out for a friendly drink, married women are allowed to drink with their friends??? right??. Howeve if she's married i'd advise getting involved, i mean imagine if your wife was of behind your back, its not nice and there are kids involved and its not fair on them.

If the relationship develops then of course the three things you need are, trust, communication and plenty of common ground early on. I wish you good luck in your quest for the 'risky' date with the lady from the office. Lol, i've always been told work coleagues are a no go!!

cheers

fetishised Polish ladies

Is liking a lady who happens to be Polish a fetish.....? I like her because she is a nice person , not because she is Polish.......Funny thing is....most of the women in Poland seem to be Polish....strange that , should i look for an Australian maybe...?????

No, not at all... you've got me wrong... there are plenty of guys here who have a thing about Polish girls - any Polish girls... doesn't matter what they look like, or what their character is like.... It just gets a bit tedious.

Anyway, I've given you some sound advice, haven't I?

You have indeed...thanks for that.....Actually i think she is part Hungarian as she has a Hungarian name . and no i don,t have a fetish for Hungarians...never met any before , i just like nice people with pretty eyes , not really relavant where they come from.....

We talked about meeting to teach each other our languages

wildrover.. that is what you should do first.. meet.. over some coffee.. or wherever
she chooses.. and just start it slow. then kinda throw in there that she and her
daughter have to get home to her husband ( so she can tell you) or openly say how
lucky her husband is to have such a beautiful women for his wife ...

either way you will find out.

* tisk tisk* and I thought I was his favorite gal .. ;)

You are of course....but i think you are taken are you not...???? if not....are all the guys around you blind.....????? Actually , you are a very interesting person , but i have no idea what you look like.....eyes seem to be something that i tend to go for...if they are nice , then i am hooked.....

Then you'd love my cat!

But seriously, I can't imagine how communicating ones good feelings towards another person could be offensive. If she's worth your attention her reaction will be appropriate, whether she accepts your feelings or not.

advice please Polish ladies.....

As you may have guessed I am not a Polish lady so I hope you dont mind me putting in my tuppence but -
three months is too long to wait, so you need an excuse to see her.
I reckon that this is not the only piece of paperwork you have to do ?
Why not use something as an excuse to go in to her office and ask her to help you with it. This will get you some time together during which you can ask her out.

Worse case scenario - she says no and you feel awkward once every three months ( also gives her a chance to reconsider every three months ).

Best case scenario - Yippee !

Think positive - maybe she is thinking the same thing !

Best case scenario - Yippee !

Well i just found out she is not married...that doesen,t mean she is single of course , but it does raise my hopes a little.....My cunning plan is to send her some flowers to say thank you for the help with the documents , and maybe mention at the same time that she is very attractive........I will let you know what happens........

I will let you know what happens........

Sending flowers is a lovely thought and am sure she will like them but please don't write and say that you think she is very attractive. Thats a bit naff if you don't mind me saying so :(

Just ask her out for a meal or something like that when you send her the flowers. She can only say, Yes, or No. And then you will have your answer.

You will embarrass her if you just write that she is attractive and if that was me I would be a little wary about you even if you have the best on intentions.

Whereas if you sent me flowers and asked me out, and I was single and liked you as well it would be quite a nice way of being asked. Good Luck !

That's a lovely name. I can see that you seem to be very fond of her already.

Just go and do it. If she says Yes. yippee for you :) But if she says no, then you can always try again :)

I was thinking that too.

Lol, great minds think alike.

She is really nice...she helped me a lot with some documents , even tho she didn,t have to.....i found her attractive the first time i met her...and with each time i saw her the feelings grew stronger.......i just want to spend some time with her , get to know her , and see where it goes from there....

Well.......i visited her office , even tho i didn,t need to till i have to register again in three months......I took her a picture chart with English and Polish descriptions on , mentioned i would like to fix a small problem on her car for her...and wondered how to go about asking for her phone number.....It was a nice suprise when she asked for my phone number.......Now i am counting the seconds till she phones me......I am going to wait till the weekend , then send her some flowers......just to say thank you for her help with the documents......AND...just maybe i will ask her to go for a coffee......

Best of luck to you .
