well coz say if i had 4 husbands n i slept with all of dem n then i got pregnant i wudnt kno hu the father was..n so 2 avoid conflict between husbands n families etc women are only allowed 1 husband but a man is allowed 4 wives.. :)

Well if it's presumed that you would treat each husband the same (as is the case with 4 wives) why would it matter who fathered the child? They would all share in the responsibility of raising the child.

hmmm......well wen the child grows up im sure he/she wud like to kno he their proper father is and that wudnt be possible..dus that make sense??? 2share responsibilty of the child when they are younger is easier tahn wen the child has grown up and wants 2 know which 1 of them 4 men is their father!!!

I always thought it had something to do with the income. Men are supposed to be the ones that go out and work and feed their wive(s) and children whereas the women are supposed to stay at home and look after the house and family. I assumed that's why muslim men had the option of more than one wife and women only having the option of 1 husband.

this is not always true..women ARE allowed to go out and work.. but i know where ur coming from..ur arguemnet makes sense..it could be a mixture of these things..

In the West this is obviously different. Muslim women do go out and work and earn a wage but in alot of muslim countries women are asked to stay at home to look after the houses and family. The lifestyle is totally different in the West.

Anyway, welcome to the forum :)

It's true that women are allowed to work and earn a living but the Hadith encourages women to stay at home

Your Prophet said to some women, "Those of you who stay at home will gain the action (merit) of the Mujahideen (those who strive in the path of Allah)"

Anyway, you keepout of those "love threads." You be a good girl now!

I know EXACTLY what you mean. You've made only 13 posts, but it's clear that you weren't *really* looking for advice on Polish learning disabled people, you're just looking for another way of spreading your Islamic agenda.

Well, it's not wanted here!

I'm fed up of hearing how "offended" Muslims get about everything - well I'm offended by the Qur'an claiming that Jesus was "only" a prophet!!!!

I believe Jesus was ONLY a prophet. Jehovas Witnesses believe this too. Bloody hell give the girl a break...

It's a pity that family members are so violent that legitimate marital arrangements might cause issues. But I am relieved to see that the peaceful religion of Islam prevents such conflicts at all cost, huh ;)

Sneaky, but surely effective.

I find it funny Islam see Jesus as a prophet yet they ignore all his teachings. Even as you said Arise that those phrases were taking out of context, either way I dont remember Jesus ever spreading a message like that. War or no war.

Jesus says turn the other cheek and Muhammed say spread the faith by the sword. A little bit of a contradiction here.... I dont understand how Islam agrees with Jesus and Muhammed at the same time if they both spread opposite messages.

Plus Islam when moderate is acceptable but the truth is that in the majority of the middle east that it is not.

They see Muhammed as a Prophet.
Contradiction? They're two different religions. Each can be taken out of context. You read those passages from the Quran and assume that it spreads hatred and violence. This is exactly how muslim extremists are easily brainwashed.

Let me quote something from the bible;

Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn "a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law--a man's enemies will be the members of his own household." (Matthew 10:34-36)

Does that not sound like a message of hatred to you? It's easy to misinterpret both the bible and the Quran. What you should worry about are the dumbasses that misinterpret them to justify their hatred and violence against non-muslims. It isn't the Quran to blame. It's the muslim extremists.

Yes understandable, but Jesus is seen as a prophet in Islam. So obviously they accept his teachings. Once again his teachings are in complete opposite to Muhammed. Your explanation is useless.

unfortunately the dumba*ses are the muslims..... Christians outgrew this dumba*sness

Either way that quote is not telling us to kill. It tells us the purpose of Jesus coming here....... Muhammed's message was to tell the people to kill.....

Either way that quote is not telling us to kill.

It doesn't mention the word kill but it mentions the word sword. Do you think the sword was to be used as a toothpick?

can't you read English. It's Jesus talking and telling us why he's here or more specifically what will occur. Did Jesus say go pick up a sword? the answer is no to that question.

This growing anti-muslim sentiment is fast resembling the anti-communist witch hunts of the McCarthy era, which bordered on hysteria. It shows that people are as easily manipulated now as they were 50 years ago.

Are we going to see the same agressive purges of those who hold real or suspected Islamic sympathies as America witnessed of perceived communists?

Neither did he bring the owner's manual, or maintenance supplies. He said: I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.. Do you think one needs instructional video to know what this means?

Unfortunately we still have dumbasses that seems to think muslims support extremism. Unfortunately we still have dumbasses that judge the Quran without even reading it. You haven't studied the book therefore you are not in any position to dish out your opinions. Extracts are NOTHING. Try READING it before commenting on the Quran. Just as I won't criticise the bible as I have not studied the bible. I hate extremist muslims. I hate muslims that hate non muslims. I hate muslims that lack respect but I am wise enough to know that they are the minority.

At the same time I don't support muslim migration to this country. I'm against it 100%. Muslim culture and Western culture does not mix.

I suspect you are quite young Darius and that 'always' isn't actually a very long time, unless of course you are wanting to go back to the days of the Crusades. In my lifetime, anti-muslim sentiment has grown considerably.

And then you have a fairly long history of Turkish influence and ME-Israel situation.

your not reading it properly. I guess I was wrong when I said Christians outgrew their dumbas*ness. He said as a result of his coming that this will occur. He wasn't advocating such actions but thats what resulted of his coming.

You're just not getting the point at all are you?

I get your point. That even if these extremists where Christians they would also use such phrases from the bible instead of the Quaron to support there war. My point is that these people aren't Christians. You don't have priests preaching in Church or in Catholic schools violence as you have violence preached in some Medrassa's

Unfortunately we still have dumbasses that seems to think muslims support extremism.

Ahhhhh not all muslims. A large portion sympathizes with these people.... If that was not the case extremistism wouldn't flourish..... I think your a dumba*s.

Quran without even reading it.

have you read it??????
