Homosexuals in Poland / Hands off (PETITION)

On April 25, 2007, the European Parliament passed a resolution condemning Polish officials for proposing educational policies to protect their children from homosexual propaganda. The EU resolution condemned the Polish government and critized the Polish Prime Minister for saying that “promoting a homosexual lifestyle to young people in school as an alternative to normal life goes too far, and that these kinds of initiatives in schools have to be stopped.”

Catholic fundamentalism is running free in Poland - that's why I left my home country ...among of other reasons.

and he said he was sorry folks - its under the bridge now

though i disagree with you calling us intolerant as were the one's who are not out against homosexuals thereby - making us the tolerant ones and the people who are against it de facto intolerant - a simple point of order and nothing personal G

ErrrmModern Union more like, rather than the antiquated stigmatic religious idealism that pollutes this country at the moment.

And another thing why is this being organised by a US organisation and not a Polish one? You would think that if Polish were so against this that they would organise it themselves but strangely another country is doing it for them. Smacks of interference I think!!!!

I doubt there's a straight answer. You shouldn't expect one.

i guess there's the ' scared of new and unknown' factor, the homophobic catholic church and many other mostly utterly stupid reasons.

it is a fact, though, that most of those loud-screamed voices of intolerance (regarding gay, Jews, even the concept of EU(!!!)) source from the polish church.

but to me, even if there's an 'explanation', as I'm a Pole myself, it remains a mystery, why people so easily fall for it.

And another thing why is this being organised by a US organisation and not a Polish one?

Because this is a pettition mostly for foreigners...

you would think that if Polish were so against this that they would organise it themselves but strangely another country is doing it for them.

It isn't organized by any "country"... If you want to know what Poles think about It, you may just ask them, except tiny minority of homo themselves, marxists and other weiridos, vast majority is more or less against.

Homosexuality is an alternative lifestyle. Why is Poland so intolerant?

"Great". What's next ? A Nazi will tell us something ?
