paddyinpoland - | 3 26 Sep 2008 / #2The population of Ireland is about 4miliion and Poland 38million I hope for Polands sake it does not follow the irish model otherwise I will have to move again. We are technically in a recession because there was negative growth for the last 2 quarters, but please show me a country who is not in recession at the moment during these turbulent times.
ParisJazz - | 172 26 Sep 2008 / #3I hope for Polands sake it does not follow the irish modelWhat's wrong with the Irish model? Are you saying Poland should slap a 50% tax on corporate profits, 60% tax on personal income and increase red tape?
OP dcchris 8 | 432 26 Sep 2008 / #4please show me a country who is not in recession at the moment during these turbulent times.hmm how about poland?
paddyinpoland - | 3 27 Sep 2008 / #5yes that would be very good for Ireland ((: The way Poland can move forward is to cut the red tape centralize offices in regional areas instead of sending you to multiple offices for the same task. They could follow the irish idea on revenue reform thats for sure and make it easier to establish limited companies or sole traders, all this could be done online. So to follow the irish way in the reform of civil services yes they should they are still in the dark ages ecomically I am not so sure.
