I wasn't getting a basic level of service at a certain mobile phone company...

My daughter called and ordered a pizza on thursday night,I gave her the money to go pick it up and she went to get it put the money on the counter and got the pizza and come home.The next day they called in the afternoon after we went by the place a few times and said she didn't pay for it. She goes there alot to order and when we go we pay when delivered. The girl that was on the phone said that she didn't pay for it and if I don't come up there now she will call the police, so I'm like what's going on she paid for it and you are wanting to call the police, so she said started getting loud and told me that you are in Poland you speak Polish, mind you she is speaking english at the time .It was alot of drama after that but thats the basics.Never have we went to a place in Poland and had a tab always paid on delivery.The manager was a *****.

LOL. She always got pizza or pasta. Spent alot of money there but I guess they didn't appreciate it.I'm not finished with them. I will go to the end with this even though I'm leaving July 10.This place lives on Foreigners and they are suppose to speak several languages. The Resaurant beside them, all the waitress speaks English and German.

Do you speak english? In polish when you call as opposed to just calling and expecting them to respond in english? I found this works a treat and they are much more willing to help,

But they still hang up on you. lol

I never considered Poland to be a part of the third world, but if you put it like you did then I have to agree that there are many more countries with bad customer service.For example Africa, Asia and parts of South America.

If the customer service in Kenya sucks then I feel for you but it still doesn't change the fact that it sucks in Poland too. I think I can allow myself this statement after being in Poland 4 and a half yrs.

It cost alot. I have the live box through TP and it cost 12 grosz a min. When I called from a land phone without it cost me 115zl. for 58 min. but it depends on time I guess too. It differs.

Angel, can you tell me what this live box is? and how does one get it?? Thank you.

If you got your landline with TP then just call 9393 and order it.I hope you speak Polish. Someone will come to the house with it and hook it up to you computer and you will have a second phone line with a diff. # from your landline,then DHL delivers the contract to you and you sign it and wait until the line starts working. This process will take a time. I'm guessing max 2 weeks or you can go to one of the TP points and it will go quicker.

I have Live Box but never use because is too expensive

If 12 gr. min. to the USA is expensive then I don't know whats cheap. The Tele -Grosik card from the post office seem to be more expensive to me. I think it's 60 or 65 gr. a min. I called my parents on the live box for almost 2 hrs. and paid a little over 12 zl. I consider that cheap. Live box is only expensive when you don't use it. It cost 10 zl. but if you sign a long term contract it will cost 1 zl. for the first six months and then 10 zl. a month.

how is the phone quality from this box since you said they hook it up to the internet?

You just hook a regular phone to the box. It's not Voip, it's internet phone connection. The quality is fine.

throwing rubbish by Germans into the forests along the border is a serious problem

I haven't been into the woods along the border but I was quite a few times around where I live in Mikolajki and before around Lublin and Siedlce area and I must say that I haven't seen so much trash in any forest before in my entire life. I wonder who's responsible for that. In Lubelskie probably Ukrainians and around here it must Russians.

I know someone here that owns 3 small grocery stores (in Mikolajki the biggest one) and customer service is #1 for her.Unfortunately she's the only one that feels that way here.

If you get so upset about it then why the hell you posted the story? Besides my hubby was military and I know what it takes to be seperated for a long period of time. We raised 4 kids and one of them is a marine currently stationed in Iraq. I never even thought for a minute to leave my husband just because he had to serve our country. I don't post any of my family matters but if I did I would have to expect some criticism by other people and would have to be able to take it.

Just look at Scott's USA profile, he's Polish. No need to judge or insult Americans but then again I personally don't give a damn what you guys think about us. Words don't count but the facts do and the fact is that our nation achieved more in 231 years than most of the others countries in thousands of years and I'm proud of it just like you're probably proud of being whoever you are.

History / Poland and Lithuania [161]

it used to be Poland

a part of it was for a while. I've met many Lithuanians and they have totally different opinion about Polish-Lithuanian relationship. To be honest, it didn't sound like they felt Polish.
