Life / Bloody Priests in Poland... [58]

That means a move like this would’ve been a career ending move for a teacher.

And this is sick! In communist era school this would be impossible!

A little advice for all those who dislike Catholic Church so much. You will avoid all "troubles" if you wont attend masses! One could think that this is obvious for everybody but apparently it is not...

News / The new Polish government is going to do... reprivatisation [25]

what means Polish people expelled form East in 45 will get some money for their properties there ..

What a nonsense. This is up to Ukraine to pay them, Polish goverment even this communist one did not size their property.

Talking about the Jewish issue, I hope that our goverment will negotiate only with individuals and pay only to those who provide well documented evidence. However I'm afraid that they will pay just little 15% out of US$ 65 billion! (to Jewish World Congress which raised these insane demands, all 65 billion )

And Church is no place for a laugh and a sing song????... that reminds me why i never go. Get real.

Catholic church is not proper place. You are the one to "get real" because you never go but argue.

Like a friend of mine said (while trying to wiggle himself out of jury duty): "I don't need no courts. I see a guy and I know right away if he's guilty or not"

I'm awful :( I see at least what he write in this forum. Does he knows all priests to judge them?

- they wanted us to attend classes for a year, jump through many other hoops.

Sounds that you simply chose they easier way. You confuse some things I think. The church is not supposed to try to be "attractive" for the people (like sects), this is not a beauty contest.

USA, Canada / Health care, USA is messed up what about your country? [33]

Healthcare for me is cheap. I only pay $10 per month and have a $500 deductable.

It looks really good.

In Norway the healthcare is free

and there is no taxes :)

but it suffers from not having enough funds.

like every socialist utopia

History / Should Germany claim to be the victims in Poland? [510]

it would be nice that Germans get complex of inferiority when Slavs start to walk with dignity. Then, germans could be re-Slavicized easily

Abstracting from what I think about pan-Slavism. Who cares what the Germans feel? Do what you need to do. Healthy attitude. :)

News / Poland and her geo-strategic enviroment [15]

It is indicative to me that Poles are so bad informed about events on Balkan (take it just for example). I would remind you on Huntington`s- Clash of civilizations. Huntington categorized Poland completely inside of borders of Western world/civilization (by his words) and he mentioned that parallely should exist Slavic civilization. So, why Huntington insisted that Poland can`t be part of Slavic civilization.

If you read Huntington, I'm sure that you will find interesting professor Feliks Koneczny views on civilizational subject. Whether Slavs belong to one civilization or not! :)

News / Lets learn more about Polish Political Parties [19]

Here you can read how they describe themselves:

Foundation Declaration of European National Front
On the threshold of Third Millenium, Europe is forced into retreat of civilization. Nations and national states are under huge pressure of New World Order forces that strain after destruction of our Christian Civilization.

And he is hard on both the Byzantine and the Turanian (i.e. the Eurasian nomad) civilization.

Ideas which goes in direction of Christian re-union are in trend.

Among others his major problem with Byzantine civilization is lack of separation of the church and the state. He claims that in this civilization the state control the church and use to its particular interests.

News / Will Poland become green? [122]

Poland is already green. Question is whether the west will ever reach Polish level of forests per square kilometer?

LOTS of coal burning going on and not too much recycling!

We have coal, so we burn coal. These countries without coal alway complain the most. Recycling indeed could be improved.

News / Will Poland become green? [122]

i would have thought the question is how long will poland take to reach the west's level of forest per square kilometer

according to wikipedia:

1946 - 20,8% of forests
1970 - 27% thanks to communist goverment program
Currently - 28,7%

So it looks stable.

News / Lets learn more about Polish Political Parties [19]

My friend, I live here, I'm interested in politics much more than average Pole and I know political program of all major parties. Beside of that, party promoting Nazi ideology would be banned according to Polish constitution.

News / Will Poland become green? [122]

It's a bit sh1t they want to build a road through Rospuda though! This is the oldest forrest in Europe!

- it was supposed to be viaduct above forest
- I doubt that current goverment will do this anyway
- We have older in Poland, by the way.

My point was maybe it's time to stop burning coal just because you have it.

This is question of profitability, other technologies are more expensive. How democratic goverment should behave? I think announce referendum and honestly describe situation. Ask people whether they agree to reduce use of coal and accept properly higher energy bills.

Still this is true that these countries without coal protest the most. In the same time they build more oil pipelines? They don't sound honest.

News / Lets learn more about Polish Political Parties [19]

The problem in Poland is you can only choose right or extream right. Or right village and extreme right village!

Shortly, Polish parliament consist from four parliamentary clubs.

- PO - fake liberals, more centrists
- PiS - social conservatives
- LiD - post-communist left
- PSL - etatist, lightly conservative peasants

Neither from these parties I would call "right".

News / Will Poland become green? [122]

It's time to wake up Grerorz! ALL SCIENTISTS now agree (30 years too late) that MAN is the cause of global warming and i'm affraid Al Gore is right! Poland didn't have a winter last year! Remember?

Try to search in Google and you will find plenty of scientists whom says that there is no evidence. In Poland for example professor Mastalerz published even some book on this issue.

Actually Al Gore write utter nonsense about Poland. Ask any Pole to confirm below quote.

"We learned, for example, that in some areas of Poland, children are regularly taken underground into deep mines to gain some respite from the buildup of gases and pollution of all sorts in the air. One can almost imagine their teachers emerging tentatively from the mine, carrying canaries to warn the children when it's no longer safe for them to stay above the ground."

the rest consevative is right!

PO is not really conservative and economically centrist. So generally centrist to my taste.

PiS and PSL are more conservative but also socialist. So does any socialist could described be right wing? Nah ..

News / Will Poland become green? [122]

Besides the point is not that the climate is not changing, the point is that It probably isn't caused by humans.

Some people try to earn some money on global warming. Here is voice from the past (Newsweek, April 28, 1975) about threat of global cooling.

I'm not going to trawl through the article. Is the above quote in relation to the hospital in Wieliczka

- Polish children are not taken regularly underground
- teachers don't "emerging tentatively from the mine, carrying canaries to warn the children when it's no longer safe for them to stay above the ground."

- Wieliczka have sanatorium
- Wieliczka is not really polluted, and absolutely safe for children

News / Will Poland become green? [122]

I was wondering if the article

This is book that Gore published being vice-president of the US. Nothing more about Poland in this book. He just describe short examples from different countries how polluted is environment all over the world.

In other words. Did someone latch on to the story of Wieliczka and turn it around.

Perhaps, however turned it around so seriously that his credibility is doubtful.

and she was telling me that there is strong evidence to suggest that man has had an indirect affect on the climate in Europe even as far back as the 14th century.

This is something like they write a nice story aimed from the start to blame the human. Then they will demand donations from goverment.

Question is why all those scientist who claim that global warming is caused by human always presuppose that activity of the sun is constant through the centuries. This is such a simplification and for sure not based on science. This is logical that activity of the sun does affect climate on our planet. I have seen some graphs based on mensurations of other scientists that activity of the sun is changing.

History / Jews...and their Polish experience [520]

My question to this argument is: Do you want us to live in Poland or germany?

Why should I care where you live? If you are here legally and don't have problem with Poles then people wont care about it. Why do you want to create problems that don't exist?

Polish people always told Jews to "go back to palestine". We did. So what are you compaining about now?

Religious Jews left, capitalist Jews left and those damn commie Jews still here! :)

History / Jews...and their Polish experience [520]

In one post you say on the one hand that jews can live in poland, like there's no problem, and on the other hand you complain about "those damn commie Jews" that are still in poland. Your bigotry is so obvious it makes you look ridiculous.

You know I'm a bit different :) I have some amount of German blood in my veins. The first sentence was from a Pole, the second was prepared by this German part of me. So in general you cannot blame Poles for this. Blame Germans :)

By the way this is funny that so many Jews I met on the internet have problem with history of Poland while they rarely raise the German issue. It is linked with amount of compensation that both states pay the Jews? Since you appeared in this forum, please answer. Let me know this interesting phenomena.

Also, does Mr. Edwards recognise the Polish language, or do they all wear little red and white flags?

They indeed do! Just this clown confuse Poles with Indonesians and citizens of Monaco!

History / Jews...and their Polish experience [520]

The discussion between Jews and Poles is about the relationship between two ethnic-religious groups that lived in the same country for hundreds of years, sometimes in harmony, but more often with hostility and suspicion. It's an interesting topic and it has a lot of emotional baggage.

From my observation, majority of the Jews (at least from the US that I discussed with) complain about some rare pogroms (often with exaggeration) or other less serious misbehaviors of Poles. OK, I don't say that Poles are so innocent. On other hand those Jews are completely unaware (or completely in denial) of crimes committed by their compatriots against Poles. Add widespread opinion that they are not responsible to some extend for the rise of anti-Jewish sentiments because lack of willingness to truly assimilate among native population. The point is that before they start complain they should also think a bit about their own history.

Life / Condoms and the Catholic church in Poland [83]

the subject focused on Africa and the problem of AIDS there. One student said that maybe if they were allowed to use condoms then this problem would be reduced

In other words, he blame the Catholic Church. Typical leftist lame logic… The church is against condoms at all, they "offer" you sexual abstinence till marriage. If man and woman follow this Catholic teaching then HIV/AIDS is hardly possible. If they don't then they cannot blame the church. It is hardly possible that somebody is so religious that reject condoms but in the same time he don't accept pre-marriage sexual abstinence.
