UK, Ireland / Paying tax in the UK??? Then you're breaking the law!! [41]

The peace movement

Typical, if they arent banging on about global warming, saving dolphines ect, they have to keep occupied with sticking thier noses in something else. A point of note is this:-

genocide any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group.

Collateral damage the unintentional damage or incidental damage affecting facilities, equipment, or personnel, occurring as a result of military actions directed against targeted enemy forces or facilities. Such damage can occur to friendly, neutral, and even enemy forces.

Seems to me that the tree huggers will have a problem trying to change the meanings of the two terms...

Life / Polish attitudes towards drinking alcohol [72]

The adverse effects of cannabis use are different to those you describe. They usually start with either memory difficulties or paranoid and suspicious ideas, and can progress to psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions. These symptoms usually come on while the individual is still smoking, and there is no good evidence that smoking cannabis can cause either anxiety or insomnia. ect ect ect

etc. etc. etc.

I havent touched the stuff in years, just makes me sleepy...so sleepy....

Utter bollocks.

I think what he means to say is that, "heavy smoking" such as skunk over a pro-longed period time, has in some cases been proven to induce certain Psychiatric conditions at a quicker rate, i.e Just like Alcohol induced schizophrenia. Though cannabis users do seem to be affected more with various mental conditions, and alcoholics are affected more by physical conditions.

Study / Summer courses in Kraków 5596PLN - your thoughts? [17]

sounds like a rip of, ive just started a polish course for 6 month in krakow for 200quid, a dorm in krakow (shared) should cost 300pln during the summer as there are no students. You would be better coming over and renting an room from someone for 2months, and paying for private lessons for that amount of money:)

News / Happy Birthday Mr. Fascist (ie. Roman Giertych) [37]

oh but its true though, a polish guy only knows when to behave when he has a fanny to chase, or another guy dominates him, or when he is first in line to buy his only beer of the night...

News / Happy Birthday Mr. Fascist (ie. Roman Giertych) [37]

He's a nurse in Poland so I don't think he's taken a Poles job.

yeah, lowering yourself to that level would be far too much for any decent human being to do

News / Should Polish citizens living abroad have the right to vote in elections [69]

I dont see how a worker in a different country should have the right to vote, to vote, you must pay taxes to that country, if you are not living in the country at time of the elections, then why do you have the right. The point that you have moved to different country for short term work means you arent prepared to work in the country of your origin.

Travel / Krakow going down the toilet! [184]

I must admit, but Krakow is slowly going down the pan, ive been living here for 2 years and although i hate the cold, i pray for winter. Though i wouldn't say its all down to the poles taking advantage of the tourists, as the 3 most popular places for stags to go are owned by brits.
