News / Why so many bad candidates for Poland Prime Minister? [261]

Christianity and politics are not the same thing !! You can believe in God, but it's personal, don't mix it with politics !

Church supported Franco in Spain and lost reputation, I dont now if it is good idea for church to support anybody. Values Yes but not political fractions.

cardinal Dziwsz (right hand of JPII) argues all the time with "radio maryja" and church started to consider them as problem, because most of churchs leaders dont see church as a side in policy

I saw lastly that for the next election of October 21st, the persons who will vote for them are older people, people living far from the cities, in their little village far from the rest of the world (LoL), on the other hand, the peope who says they'll vote for the opposition party are young people, educated people (we know why :p), etc.

true

An exemple : a woman who has been raped, got pregnant...tell her that Mister Kaczki thinks it's better not to allow abortion in her case....

In this case he is for, in this case abortion in Poland is legal. And some MPs (Marek Jurek was their leader) have left PiS because they wanted to stop it and Jarek had different opinion.

to supporters of "grate" Jaro ;) You consider him as a grate anti -commie ... Ok so what has he done for 2 years time ?

Why ex-commies still have enormous pensions (in comparison to the rest) why he havent changed it ? Privatizations, he promised to check them, and what do we have ? Which proces of privation he have checked ? He promised to send to jail some politicians for corruption, and what do we have? his ministers are accused of taking bribes ...

As to style he is primitive. As to economy he isnt to good in this case ;), he sends his whole salary on mums account, because she is good in economy ... no comment. Jaro and his mum ;)

He is crazy, he thinks that everybody can be ex- commie agant ... we have 2007 !!! Lets change him. Come on, he promises a lot, but as to work ....

News / There is no Muslim in Poland [116]

maybe some figures, few years ago in Poland there was about 5000 musilms (mostly Tatars living near Białystok) now there is about 20000 - 25000.

XVIII/XIX century mosique in Kruszniki near Bialystok.

weedo

So figures show that musilmis (ligal) are very small miniority in Poland (38 mln people).

I decided to seach some articles in internet and I could find only in Polish rather left orieted article:

kaukaz.net/artykuly/czeczenia_art3.html

wspolczesna.pl/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20061130/REG00/61129040&SearchID=73294747190744

so we will see in close future what will happen

That already took place between 1991-1994 and 1996-1999.They were de-facto independent. The first experience carried to disapearance as informed of some 20000 ethnic Russians in these lands. The second period (nearly no Russians rested there) was concluded by their invasion into Daguestan rejected by some Russian unorganized regular troops and Daguestan militias created immediately. They didn't utilize their possibilities.

they utilize their possibiliteis, and it is enought reason to do small extermination for them in their own country ?

As to independence de-jure, what about East Ukrain in this case, Sisdnestrial Republic, South Osetya, Abhasya, North Cyprus, Vasconia, Corsica etc., etc.?

plebiscite, give citizens of this regions law to vote and decide where they prefere to live, Russia/Ukraina Georgia/Russia ...

Genealogy / Polish-Lithuanian paradoxis [13]

Only Lithuanian-speaking peasants in the past seem to be the main symbol of today Lithuanian state.

Bingo, but it started to change, they started to celebrate for example 3rd May Constitution together with us. (this constitution made from Polish-Lithuanian commonwealth one country Poland)

The point is that Poland recognizes as sons and daughters people who have ancestors among residents of Grand Duchy of Lithuania and contemporary Lithuania doesn't recognize them. Or I'm wrong...

You are right the answer is in first quote.

As to you, you consider yourself Russian or Pole ?

but it is their place on earth, and they can cultivate their traditions there.

Extermination? Do you know exact figures? Evidence? Is it their own country?

as to Lithuanians, one group of them noticed that they are not Lithuanians but they are people of Żmudz . And wants some authonomy. We will see what will happen.

The only problem for today is that their historians have some ethnic inclinations. They try to convince everybody that Lithuanian Ducks were very attentive to Lithuanian ethnic challenges while in reality they were for uniform existence of the whole state of Slavs and Zemoijts. They also try to convince that Vilnius was a city of Jemojts only despite the fact that Slavs were there since the very beginning. Lithuania has usurpated the name of the whole former Great Duchy and nothing may be corrected. But Lithuanian historians sometimes don't even confess this fact.

Last times they changed their opinions in many cases, so it looks much better.

Yugoslavia was good too, but that's not the topic!

agree, all Yugoslavian countries lost on this war ...

I think that that kinds of movements are noticeable in all Europe.

Belgium, Spain (Catalonia, Bask) Scotland in UK,

as to elections

The leader of Poland's main opposition party, Donald Tusk, is campaigning in the UK and the Irish Republic ahead of a election in Poland in October.
