UK, Ireland / English people attitude towards Poles? [761]

we have plenty of skilled people in this country

Doesn't sound like a traitor to me. Sounds like someone who's defending her country.
In America there are a lot of Portugese, Brasilians, Cubans mostly in Florida, and the areas where thay live are labeled 'High crime", for some reason. They don't speak any english and there are constantly problems with the law.

Compare that with the Poles living in Chicago. I go there often, they have their Polish stores, businesses, they're clean, they work and try to accomplish something in life. There aren't any problems with them. The problem is with the ones who come into America illegally on boats at night and don't want to work.,

UK, Ireland / Poles in Ireland, are they second class citizens? [90]

Poland can say the same thing. There are Russians, Muslims, Arabs, people from third world countries who think Poland is the greatest place on Earth! They try to get Polish citizenship and to them it's a Heaven.

Poland is beautiful, with a lot of culture and history, even though the system might not be the best...
But like they say: The grass is greener on the other side.

Love / I got chatting to a Polish girl in a bar - opinions please.. [77]

I've read your letter a couple of times.
1. She's working 7 days a week and doesn't have time to go out.- Might be true
2. She did call you and you keep in touch through SMS - sounds interested
3. She says it's not what you think.
I think that she wants to get to know you but maybe something is holding her back? Like a boyfriend? But maybe not. She's in a new country and she's only there for a while and maybe she doesn't want to get involved? Tell her straight out how you feel towards her. Don't be ashamed of your feelings and then you will know if it's worth your time to be with her.

But the only way to find out anything, is to ask.

krysla <<who's that

oh oh. I thought it was me. I better edit what I just wrote and wait for the real krysla to show up.

Love / Polish Women to be nice respectful [59]

The society is raising the children.
Nowadays both parents have to work. The nanny that raises your child is doing it mostly for the money and it's not in her interest to raise your child.

Language / how to distinguish between hard and soft consonants properly? [14]

the soft tip is somewhere in between the small gap between the teeth; for harder ones the back of the tongue slightly curles backward and and the tip retracts quite abruptly. Does it help? :P

have no idea what you are talking about - sorry

Yeah right!

News / Dealing with constant insults against Polish [323]

But just think of the beautiful interracial children you guys would have. Your son would have a goat head and daughter a goat butt with 4 tits. Just think how much milk you can get out her?

UK, Ireland / English people attitude towards Poles? [761]

Trouble is mainly...is the amount

Same thing happened after WWll.
The Polish Army was defending England, because England was not prepared for the war. After the war, England allowed the Poles to enter as a gratitude for helping. But soon there were so many of them, that England started giving Poles free tickets to any country they want to go.

I know this.
My mother was one of them. She went to England and got a free ride to the US.

I'll ask her tomorrow.
She's sleeping right now and I don't want her throwing a frying pan at me for waking her up to ask that.
