hhhmmm this opinion is a bad as those who say 'The Polish should go home and not come to Britain' its narrow minded and bordering on imperialism.

Real Estate / Don't buy a house in Poland if you are British!!! Corruption!!! [67]

Hay there i can understand your anger at been ripped off or even the corruption part, however you can't make sweeping statements about a country or a government like that.

Whatever has happened in your case i'm sure it is not the same for everybody who tries to invest in property in Poland, while i think your wrong to brand them like this i do have sympathy with your case

Travel / Tourism in Poland the plus and minus points for the natives [38]

yes Alicja i think your right, it is easier to notice negative things about something, somebody or a place that we visit. However i have been to other countries that have supposedly suffered under the communist regime but the people are not rude there, for example take Moscow in Russia.

I'm not putting a downer on the Polish, i just don't think you can blame communism and communists for everything, lol, however you can blame them for those ugly great big gray tower blocks!!! they are buildings!!!! really?? i wouldn't live in them

UK, Ireland / British taxpayers pay homeless Polish to go home. [184]

ok on the terrorists thing, i have a specific saying which is totally 100% true.

"not all Muslims are terrorists, but all Terrorists are Muslim" of course i'm talking in the case of al queda, islamic gehad etc etc.

on the subject of immigrants, i have no problem with people coming into our country as long as they are legal and they want to work and not sponge of the government and therefore negatively affecting our economy.

However having said that if there are any people in this country who shouldn't be they should be removed, no questions asked. I also believe that anybody with a criminal record that could be described as 'a danger to other people' should not be aloud into the country either. We have our own rapists, murderers and armed robbers to deal with let alone the ones from eastern europe and asia or wherever.

Travel / Tourism in Poland the plus and minus points for the natives [38]

I went to Krakow recently and i thought it was a great place to visit and i enjoyed my time there very much, it has a good mix of night life and sites to visit while your there. I like some of the historical buildings and the history of the city.

However on the whole i found the people of Krakow to be very rude in most cases, for example, shops, on the street, hotels etc etc. Of course i'm not saying every Polish person is rude of course not, i was just so surprised at this having been friends with many Polish back in my home country England.

There were some very nice people in Krakow and overall i loved it, there was one strange thing though, there was a club in Krakow that was basically somebodies garage i think, when you went in there were no seats or anything to sit on just a simple bar with drinks that were taken out of their packets and given to you in bottles. I don't know if it was a legal establishment but it was great, a real bit of Polish culture and something that you don't see in good old Blighty :)

Travel / Poland in September-October [16]

Well for me tipping is all about the service after all its not the poor waiters fault if the chief has dropped rat in your soup, i like to think that when i tip its for good service with a smile and that the money i tip goes into the pocket of those who are dealing face to face with the customers

Life / Is there anything worse than Polish rap? [148]

I understand that mate, i'm not naive to the fact that all polish speak English, i'm also not an imperialist, not all the world should understand or have to speak English.

So point taken and noted :), however i'm willing to bet it sounds a bit of a shambles LOL

News / Polish myths. Poland is one of the countries that count in the world. [49]

Poland needs to stand up for itself and be counted. I mean really there are things that i could say but i really think you Polish would find it offensive so i won't.

Show these other countries and cultures that you mean business and that Poland COUNTS and isn't a walk over whenever somebody decides they want a piece of extra land or some people to work for pittance money

I love Poland and Polish people of course it counts :)

Love / The Polish girl i love has gone back to Poland . [65]

Hi there,

To be honest i can't believe you've written on here looking for the sympathy vote!!!!!! Who do ou think you are, you should be having serious words with yourself for cheating on your WIFE (THAT MEANS YOU ARE MARRIED!!!!!!!) i'm reminding you as you obviously forgot about the ring on both yours and your wifes finger!!!.

Even though i'm never going to get married myself i believe if you take those vows you should dam well stick to them and not treat them with such disdain, those vows are taken by people who are (IN LOVE) and want to make a life commitment with one another. Obviously you don't really understand what this is.

I'll finish by saying the only person i have sympathy for is your wife because she has to live with a person who calls himself a man and her husband, who has actually been cheating on her with some Polak from work. I hope you get what is coming to you which is a divorce and i hope if you get in contact witht his girl again that she gives you the brush off and make you realise what your wife actually meant to you when you were first married.

Sorry to all other members of this forum for my harsh words however this is just my point of view. To Neville1965 its not a good idea to give your e-mail address out on a public forum.
