I'm asking because just look at the facts of WWII, it took allies 5 damn years to beat the Germans. Would it take that long if Germans where weaklings? Try to forgive and carry on.

well, in my 4 years in Poland I've met more people talking bad about Russians than Germans.
Poles dont hate Russians, quite the opposit but then again what do you know about Slavic countries

Poland and Russia were never real friends and never will be. Most of Poles I've met in my 4 years in Poland, hated Russians more than even Germans.

well, not really because to be honest saying that you would have regained your independence on your own without any help is unrealistic. I'm sure, deep down inside of you, you know I'm right and if you don't Sokrates, I must say, you're fooling yourself. I've met many Polish people who totally disagree with your point so I know, you're not talking for all Poles. Most of Poles don't give a damn for Soviets (now Russians). Actually, I've met in Poland more people hating Russians that Germans. Obviously you can choose your friends and share your sympathy with whoever you want but at least don't deny historical facts.

well Seanus, this kind of discussions are based on history knowledge by all of us and like Sokrates said and I fully agree with him, each country (or most) has a different opinion about what has really happened during the WWII.
It seems like some Americans just see it as a tussle which must be won. What's with that?
