Love / When does flirting get out of control? [35]

Last year I was on an elegant dinner date in Laguna Beach. I noticed our waitress kept eyeballing my very handsome date. Every time she'd walk by our table, she was smiling directly at him.

Apparently she was a gold digger too. He had dropped his car keys on the floor, which had a Porsche emblem. She picked the keys up and asked him, "Oh what kind of Porsche do you have?" She even had the nerve to ask him what his profession is. The little floozy did all this right in front on me, as though I was invisible.

While we were leaving the restaurant she asked him, "Are you going to come back and visit us sometime?" By then I was ready to show her what my middle finger looked like.

The nerve of her. For all she knew, he and I could have been a married couple, dining there for dinner.

or flirting in general ?

I think I'd like to hear about similar situations, that others may have experienced in general. In addition, any advice one can offer for others, on how to handle these type of circumstances.

Nothing.

Right!!! I'll pay someone a dollar to tell me what he's hiding!

Imagine that the woman in your story actually successfully nicked your date off you.

That'd be okay, since we were never in a serious relationship. Anyway, I know I'm much more attractive and more educated than her. The list goes on...

Who are you kidding?

He lives out of state. It was just a casual date.

He wasn't interested in her at all. She was very average-looking and extremely skinny. She couldn't have weighed more than 100 pounds, while wet!

So you'd be happy if your date dumped you in the restaurant and hiked it home with

I always carry my cell phone for emergency. There's taxi cabs too. If a man is a dog, then he's not worthwhile. He didn't happen to act like a dog, like some men. He never once flirted back with the unclassy waitress; he was interested in me.

You were still annoyed enough with her to start with.

Indeed I was annoyed by her very unprofessional, disgusting behavior. He and I were there together on an elegant dinner date.

Love / When does flirting get out of control? [35]

This happened last year and it's almost November of this year so enough happened that night ot leave it festering within you...

Yes, it happened last year. As I stated to Wroclaw, I'm interested in hearing if other people have encountered similar situations, and how they've dealt with the circumstances. The type of scenario doesn't matter if it happened over 100 years ago.

This thread is not about flirting getting out of control.

Agreed Osiol. That's why many of the previous posts ended up in the random thread.

However, I'm interested in hearing if others have personally experienced a similar situation, in comparison to mine. I'd also like to know how they dealt with the issue, when it happened to them.

Law / "Difficult Customer" business in Poland [18]

to check on how their employees deal with customers

In the United States several department stores utilize mystery shoppers. The intent is to analyze a firm, along with individual employees, in terms of level of skill and customer service they provide.

Love / In love with a Polish teacher... [83]

Only thing is...he's married...with children. I don't want to be a homewrecker

I don't think you want to jeopardize your teacher's relationship, between with his spouse and kids. They don't deserve to be hurt. You need to stop any furthur advances, before they get out of hand. Try to find yourself a good single man. One who can give you his undivided attention, that I'm sure you're very deserving of.

no, don't mess with a married man otherwise you are the HOMEWRECKER that you claim you don't want to be.

OMG! Is plk123 actually gaining a conscience??? Or is this an optical illusion?

Life / Haunted Homes in Poland [173]

Haunted Homes

I don't actually live in Poland. I live in Southern California, in Riverside. There's an old Victorian house, located a couple blocks away from my home. It's referred to as the zinc roof house. According to Riverside legend, an old grandma died in the house several years ago. Supposedly she both haunts and protects the house, by watching passers-by from the roof tower. I've never seen the grandma look down at me from the tower. However, I sometimes feel chills going up and down my body, as I pass by the intriguing zinc roof house.

Life / Haunted Homes in Poland [173]

I passed through Riverside two weeks ago, on the way from LAX to Palm Springs! Didn't get chance to look around, though.

Next time you're in good old Riverside be sure to visit our historic landmark,
The Mission Inn. It was built in 1902. Kind of resembles the Hotel California album cover.
It's said to be haunted by an actress who committed suicide within the hotel. She killed herself, because her acting career had become unsuccessful.

Food / Marketing George Foreman grill in Poland [12]

i am currently in an international marketing class

Marketing is certainly a great business concentration. You have a broad area of interesting career choices available. I have a business degree, with a concentration in Marketing.

do you think that an electric grill with another name is better?

I think a name change for the grill may be a good marketing strategy, for promoting the item within Poland. You and your classmates could brainstorm for a more creative new name.

You know you're Polish when... ?

You're dying for a kielbasa Polish sandwich so bad, you'll even settle for one from Wienerschnitzel.

Love / The number of men seeking a Polish woman [85]

I'm amazed at the numerical comparison of men seeking Polish women, as opposed to women seeking Polish men. Currently the ratio is 374 men versus 64 women. Please tell me, why are there presently almost 6 times more men seeking relationships?

go to a building site and shout 'dzien dobry' ;)

Unfortunately, there's not a huge Polish community in California. Maybe I'll try it next time, I'm visiting in Chicago. HA!

Love / The number of men seeking a Polish woman [85]

so to sum it up I believe that women rather meet men in real life rather that on the internet.

You're right Miranda. In person we can see in advance, who our dating prospects are. I'm not a huge fan of online dating. I'd also be afraid of my Internet date looking somewhat like Porky Pig in person.

good luck with your 'fishing'

well beckski if you look like your photo I dont think you would have to shout anything for the men to notice you :-)

Thanks for the encouragement you two.
