Life / JOKES ABOUT POLISH. Have we deserve it? [68]

Yes. That's right.

depends on what kind of joke of course.
some are really funny, some stupid or showing total lack of knowledge.
I think that I have some distance to it and I do not feel insulted easly.

But what about those sarcastic and rude ones?
I do not want discuss how to respond to it. This is sad but Poles do not have best reputation in some coutries egz Germany (I asked about honest answer my four german friends). Of course an inteligent person knows that people are different so we should not generalize. But people tend to generalize. Effect? Honest ,quiet people pay for unaccetable behaviour of their countrymen.

I do not speak really about UK. We will see in a couple of years.I mentioned Germany ,what about USA?What reputation Poles have in there?

Love / Getting engaged! I'm 18, he's 28. WOW [72]

YEA THATS TRUE.. HE ISNT OLD.. HE IS STILL REALLY YOUNG,... AND THATS WHY I LOVE HIM.. BC HE IS A SWEETHEART

but consider that 20 and 30 makes bigger gap than eg 40 and 50.....
in maturity and life experience
don not take it to yourself in negative way. just trying to discuss...

UK, Ireland / Homesickness of a Polish immigrant from UK [10]

I visit Poland 2-3 times a year.Hours on the phone!
I am actually quite ok in here.
I could meet so many non polish people in this country and I am fascinated with it. Still learning new things and see Poland from different point of view! That is interesting really.

I wonder if it is possible to be completly free of homesickness?

UK, Ireland / Homesickness of a Polish immigrant from UK [10]

I have been living in UK for 5 years.I settled down, happy, working, friends and love!
But I am missing more and more my country. For first 4 years I was sure that living abroad was exactly what I always wanted. Because of big interest in traveling, meeting new people, see how they live.

Is someone who feel the same?
