Checker: "You have unread messages in your queue..."

You have unread messages in your queue, but they cannot be displayed because the number of unchecked topics overloads the limit (100). Please either delete the old topics or Reset the Start Date first for viewing the latest results.

I took this msg from CHECKER ...

FORGET I ALREADY FOUND OUT :))) SORRY

It seems you haven't checked the Checker for a while. Just reset your starting date (select today's or yesterday's date and confirm) and then you can check for new messages only posted on the forums.

Just by opt-in "PM email" (we don't allow to spam others by a "regular" PM).

What is Checker for?

and can I delete my topic?

You can request to delete a topic only if there are no replies to it (or the replies are off-topic).

May I ask the the reason to have a Checker? Is it like "Favorite Places"????
Or is used to just eliminate only those sites that interest the person?

I wish to stay in the Genealogy Section.
And have deleted oodles of unnecessary messages.

You can go to Checker, then Options and check/uncheck the forums you are interested in. You can add any topic to your favourite topics (by clicking on the star graphic near the topic title) and it will be always easily available from your Checker.

Because all new messages appear in REAL TIME. That's why it's best to use it every day, just like admin, moderators, and experienced members do :). That way you make sure not to miss any message.

If you want to watch some specific topics only, add them to your Favourite Topics (accessible from the Checker too).

Ok, now that most of us know where the log off button is.
What is the checker thing, it is always full, so I am meant to empty it, then what? I don't get it.
Does anybody else? really? really really???

Ahh.
The checker thing is To tell you there have been new posts in threads you have.
Viewed/Posted in.

So you know there have been responses.
And Yes. Its a good idea to delete some/All Unless its a thread you are watching.

it just brings up all the new threads that appear in sections of PF that you said you were interested in most when you first joined. and yes it does fill up very quickly. you have to keep deleting if you wanna be up to date with stuff going on in translations, relationships, life in Poland etc, whatever you said that interests you. i haven't checked it since last year ;).

nah, that's 'my threads'
