Well said. Are these not very much the same words as I was using in an above thread? I was making almost the same point above, but sadly, as is the usual case on this Forum, I have been misunderstood and wrongly misunderstood.

I would suggest being very careful and on your toes. The girl of nine will be very close to her mother (and understandably) as that is all she knows. Now, you are entering in to her life and that is seen by her as a big threat. The daughter will do all in her power to try and push you two apart by stealing all your things and money. Poles do this a lot and are very successful at stealing other people's property. Stay way and look elsewhere is my advice. Mind you. as they say, love is always blind.

You should try Russian ice cream. I used to travel in to the centre of Moscow every afternoon and visit the GUM department store. Nothing there to buy except the ice cream. Simple, basic and totally unpretentious but what a lovely natural taste it used to have.

The trouble is that on this forum, it all depends on who you are. The poles are very crafty in this respect. I see bad Polish written such as oczów and if I had written it everyone would be on to me right away. If, on the other hand, a Pole writes it then its all right. I have just looked up in the thirteenth century annuals and there is a good example of this very thing...and on they go. They simply lie.

It probably is. you must remember that Poland and the Poles are at least three hundred years behind other advanced western countries. There are poles who would not know what a vacuum cleaner is. It was the Russian Army in Poland after World War 2 that introduced the Poles to toilet paper.

Stay clear of polish medicine and Polish doctors. They are really dreadful. Just the thought of it drives me in to a panic attack myself! I was in Katowica once for a small private operation. The doctor was already the boy friend of my wife's school time friend. Hence the connection. That is why I was talked into the operation in the first place. A cheap experiment, or so I thought. Blood dreadful place and operation. In fact, my problem is worse now than before. The only good thing there was a nice young Polish nurse, whom I fancid at the time!

I certainly would never 'go the other way' as you put it and emigrate to Poland. Also, I am totally against the E.U. let alone the whole concept of expansion. The only true beneficiaries of the E.U. are the middle class because the own the means of production. The Polish migrant workers help to keep labour rates down. They only want to work and earn money, which they can then send home to Poland to their families. Wages are therefore kept low, there is no national need to recognize a trade union nor to pay sick pay or holiday entitlements. It is the working class low paid service sector, which really has it tough always through the history of man's struggles of oppression. With the collapse of Communism and the Soviet Empire, there is no alternative to the World's strongest religion, Capitalism. The Poles are just being used at the British workers expense.
