Love / Why are Polish girls constantly ill? [166]

Maybe Poles pay a little too much attention to some symptoms. Many Poles go to the doctor if they have the common cold, and take 3-4 drugs to reduce the symptoms. If they cough just a little they buy cough syrup etc. Of course it's a generalization, but many Poles visit the doctor also with minor problems that will solve without doing anything at all.

If I went to the doctor in Sweden because I had the common cold they would call me crazy.

There is a reason why there can be one Apteka in almost every block in Polish cities.

Love / Girls in Poland so desperate for$ Poland has the greatest no of Prostitutes [135]

Poland has the greatest number of Prostitutes in the world or atleast in europe?

Wrong. There are more prostitutes in Ukraine, Belarus etc.

The general answer to your question is that there is a correlation between the number of prostitutes and the economical situation in a country. Especially in Europe this is obvious. The more poor women the more prostitutes.

majority of prostitutes in Poland are from Eastern Europe: Ukranine, Belarus etc.

True

For a descriptive discussion of the subject I recommend the song Jadą kurwy z daleka by DJ £ysy.

Love / All Polish girls are like that? If you were her would you do the same? [62]

but i have seen many examples of Russian and German women who dedicated themselves for love and changed everything around when in love with different religion guys.

Some people find their true love with someone from their own culture. Other people find their true love with someone from another culture.

And you shouldn't generalize about all people. I know many Europeans couples who found each other when they were < 25 years old, and are happily married for the rest of their life. Even if many people are divorcing... yes.

Life / Surgery in Poland (varicose veins)...anyone with experience/advice? [18]

why you chose surgery as opposed to other less intrusive methods

Less invasive methods are often only enough for small varicose veins, or branches of major superficial veins.

Even with invasive surgery you can usually leave hospital the same day or the day after. And then go for check-up and removal of sutures.

Life / Taking penicillin in Poland [12]

All have told me that Polish medicine has completely moved away from the use of penicillin, due to the dangerous side-effects

I am a medical student in Poland. I will try to explain something about this.

No doctor has told you that, I'm 100% sure! Penicillin (a group of antibotics) is not 1 drug, but a group of drugs. Some of the drugs in this group are very effective and safe ways to treat some infections.

----------------------------------------

For some people it's necessary to give penicillin (or another antibiotic) as prophylaxis. But her schedule and route of administration sounds strange. Prophylaxis is usually given orally.

You have get her whole medical history and present it to a doctor who can decide if antibiotic prophylaxis is needed or not.

Good Luck!

Love / All Polish girls are like that? If you were her would you do the same? [62]

shaziluk:

You seem to be a good and brave man.

Different religions don't have to be a huge problem in a relationship. It's very brave of you to sacrifice as much as you have done.

But it's up to everyone to decide how they feel about this. Maybe she just thinks that the religious differences are too big, or maybe she has other reasons too, that she doesn't want to tell you.

I'm sorry to hear this sad story. And I wish you good luck in the future!

But she belongs to eurpeon culture where the cycle doesnot stop, one person after another after another.

The divorce rate is much lower in Poland than in Western Europe.

History / Ross kemp on Polish Gangs/Nazis - Untermenschen Nazis..?? [69]

He found that people holding extreme right wing and racist political opinions harboured deep feelings of inadequacy, powerlessness and inferiority.

This has been known in psychological research for a very long time.

History / Ross kemp on Polish Gangs/Nazis - Untermenschen Nazis..?? [69]

There are persons with IQ < 90, that are easily manipulated, in all countries.

They can't understand what's logic and what's not. So it's impossible to discuss anything with them. Low intelligence, poorly educated, no one wants to employ them, and they get filled with hate and loss of identity. So they get attracted to extreme ideologies like these. You can find them in Poland, Germany, England, Italy, Brazil and everywhere else.

90% of the population hates this kind of people. But such people have always existed and will do so also in the future.

Love / In your opinion, are most Polish women 'Easy'? [243]

Rio happens to be one of the plastic surgery capitals of the world.

I've seen women looking worse after some plastic surgeries than they did before.

Travel / Looking for a typical restaurant in Wroclaw [26]

Sushi, when done well, is great but we are about a 13 hour drive from the Baltic sea

I also doubt that very much. For some reason Poles like to import fish from Asia, regardless if it's Sushi or "normal fish".

Food / What are the most popular drinks in Poland? [23]

If you mean alcohol it's vodka and beer.

Note that wine is getting more and more popular, esp. among women. But it's still nothing similar to the wine culture in the rest of Europe. East is getting westernized. You see also more and more coctails etc. in the bars.

But still vodka (nothing added) is the no 1.

Language / Does this look right? (Cases reference); co? kto?/ czego? kogo? [8]

The instrumental case indicates a tool/means with which an action is performed:

Also after preposition z, but only when it means with.
Idę do kina z koleżanką. (I'm going to cinema with my friend).'

And also when it defines some things, like nationality, occupation and other things.
On jest Polakiem.
Jestem lekarzem.
