Love / Why are polish men so damned complicated? [53]

I was missing some sort of cultural difference?

no, it's not a Polish tradition or culture to sleep around while being in a relationship...lol... you just met a player and you'll be better off without him :)

and I'm sure it has absolutely nothing to do with him being polish.

yeah... if you want to hear his side of the story, you'd meet face to face and forget texting... but he cheated already, could you trust him again?

and yes, the language barrier and miscommunication may screw things up badly sometimes...

he now tells me that it was all a joke - how bloody sick is that??? He didn't like the way I interact with one of the other guys at work and thought I was messing him around, so he made out he was having sex!!

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

I think the world would be a better place if everyone just stayed with their own kind and only go visit other cultures, then return home.

how boring...

Life / 800 thousand Polish women are victims of domestic abuse yearly [180]

the prosecutor issued a certificate allowing her to get abortion, however, the medical staff refused to perform abortion for she was pregnant 12 weeks and 6 days at the time.

yes.... they did refuse it.... but they would love to do it behind the closed door...
we'll never know the stats about illegal abortion... but it happens on regular basis... pretty sad...

Life / 800 thousand Polish women are victims of domestic abuse yearly [180]

It's too easy for women to file false assault charges (and yes, I can give statistical information) and too many women do it for a variety of reasons. Every man is at risk.

That is true, unfortunately. At least in Countries such as Canada.

you should start thinking about the situation in Poland and not in the US and Canada... this thread is not about that...

If someone believes Polish abuse is somehow special (maybe it is?) than there should be ample evidence of it.

it's not special, but the law treats a female or a man differently in PL and the US... in the US, cops take care of the person right away (charges, jail, consequences), while in PL, cops will come over to see what's going on, make notes, and leave... until somebody doesn't get hurt or die.... then the second thoughts show up...

that's why i want us to focus on the problem in Poland because the law is different in ever country, and don't compare it to the US...

Travel / Krakow information: looking for pubs/clubs for students. [22]

Although, Miasteczko Studenckie souds amazing.

lol... it's the biggest campus in PL...
you can visit bars full of students there, one is called 'studio' ('38' in the past) and another one 'zaścianek'... and good food in the 'różowy słoń' ('pink elephant') - it's not campus anymore, but straszewskiego st.

Food / How to Cook and Eat an Artichoke? [32]

It appears artichokes cook themselves when they are ripe. They even powder themselves with spices ;)

sounds like a perfect world... ;)
