Travel / One thing i Really hate about most Restaurants in Poland! [14]

Stop complaining learn how to cook, the whole thing i think is sick slipknot

me complaining? k sure.. i guess 4.5zl for a 0.2L bottle is fair then :/

i should one day open a restaurant one day and serve 330ml glasses for 2zl in restaurants and see what ppl think about it :P

but thought I'm only 16 so i should wait then xD

You could have your meal and then go to the shop to buy a pepsi, innit

Obviously restraurants are taking advantage of a business opportunity, nothing more.

that's what i do actually hehe :P

i was just asking why they like to take that Huge advantage...

Is the Price of Pepsi!!!! why does only 0.2L of Pepsi cost like 3.5, 4.5, 5Zl while pepsi cans(0.33L) cost 0.99Zl in supermarkets

it's like everyone is winning 800% from Pepsi... is Pepsi considered as Gold or something in Restaurants?

i remember back in Lebanon, a pepsi can(0.33L) in most restaurants cost(prices converted) 2zl, MAX 4zl.. yet here.. they want more and they give you less :/

Life / Aster City, it's finally installed but what are your experiences with it? [4]

not sure what u mean Aster "City" but i'll tell ya i had Aster's triple-play(well.. double i guess cuz there was already a phone line).. 10mbps and about 30-50Basic channels(can't remember exactly) last year for two months and their Service was amazing!! i was always downloading at 1.2MB/S.... never any downtime(well... only once.. the speed slowed down for about an hour but was back then with no-further problems).. so basically.. Yes i'd advise you to go with their services....

as for me.. this Summer i'm trying to see if i can get UPC's 30mbps service in Krakow.. only got 9 days left till i travel :P

just noticed on ASTER's website.. they highered the mininum download speed from 512kbps to 1Mbps, and from 6mbps to 8mbps :)

same Prices.

Life / UPC in Poland - is the deal they have offered me worth getting? [7]

o cool.. thx... maybe i still have a chance of getting my dream connection after all :P

hmm i calculated the distance between my house and their main building in krakow(Lublanska 38) on Google map and it turned out to be exactly 4.4KM far apart

my House is in Azory(that's like north-west krakow) and there're on like North-minor- bent-east krakow lol

i hope they can cover that area lol. any1 know how far can they cover?

Life / TP - Telekomunikacja Polska SA (phone/Internet company in Poland) [19]

luckily for me i'm always in ASTER's service range.... i love the 10mbps/1mbps they provide.. only for 83.5Zl/month and i only experienced one small slow down last summer when i was in Krakow. it kept download at 1.2MB/S(max speed) but what was nicer is that last year i subscribed to their 2months Triple-play deal... and only had to pay like 23.5Zl/Month and (well i forgot how many TV channels) for only 10zl/month!.. before i left back to Lebanon. i simply canceled the deal :P

this year im gonna try to see if i get that 30Mbps/2mbps connection from UPC.. if not... i'll stick with ASTER ^^

Life / Thunderstorms in Poland [44]

well actually i love Thunderstorms.. they are an amazing part of nature! =)

i've had some crazy experiences last summer... like once.. in Krakow, it was a nice, sunny, and quite hot day.. the temperature was about 32C!! everything looked nice. Later, me and my mom were going to the Post office to send some spices to a friend in another city.. on our way there.. alot of clouds started forming out of nowhere and fast... we went inside the post office and things outside turned black and grey quickly!! next thing i know, it starts to rain INSANELY and the winds Picked up fast!!!

think that sounds crazy? well listen to this.. it Started to hail as if Hell's Winter just awoke!

hail Hail Hail.. i could hear the balls fall everywhere.... the weather continued to go crazy for about 15minutes...

finally when things calmed down.. i decided it was safe to go out.. the raining stopped but it was Cold!.. the whole Ground was covered with white snowy hail! the Temperature dropped from 32C to 18C!!!! and then a nice layer of cold fog started to form from all the ice that was melting on the ground... finally.. all the clouds started to disappear and the weather came back to being.....nice and sunny!!! although there was water everywhere and the temp was about 22C.

Life / Lebanese willing to Move to Poland. [18]

Hey everybody, let me introduce myself first, my name's Rafic, im Lebanese and Polish as well, and I'm on my last year of High-school in Lebanon(it's located above Israel), and i'm planning to Study in University for 4Years in Poland. i usually visit Poland every year where i live in a small apartment in krakow since i was a kid and i loved it. so i wanna ask some questions(and they might sound kinda stupid, but simple):

1- i heard that if you study in Europe, it would be better than studying in a "3rd-world country", meaning that you'd get a wayy better salary in general if you have a European University degree, is this True? because i have a Brother who Studied University in Lebanon and one time he told me he regret the decision to study here and not in Poland.

2- this is even a more dumb question but what the hell :P

which career, in the same degree respect, would provide a higher salary in Poland and in the gulf(if by anychance you guys know), a Mechanical Engineer or a Architecture Design Engineer?

3- how is Poland's internet services like?, is it fast or slow?, here in Lebanon i have 256kbps download and 64kbps upload with a 3GB Download limit, which is slow when opening webpages and downloading things, any names of Isps which are faster than this speed, my budget would be max 150ZL/month for internet.

and finally ..

4-Are there Universities in Krakow that i can study in English?

Hope that ain't to Answer ^^

Any help will be Greatly Appreciated :)
