News / Buzek. another step to abyss? [41]

But I wouldn't steal their sunshine. That's all they really have. Well, if you had ever heard music from Senegal or Mali, you would think they deserve to keep it.

Gotta play tennis, later, "zakuty łbie."

I'd like to kick your ass. Other than that, no. BTW, I don't type out a book doesn't mean I'm "ignorant" of the issues. You are the sad, little internet b/tch. Congrats on that. I guess a Polack wins at something, no?

Weak. Very weak, but keep trying.

You are the sad, little internet b/tch.

Not at all. I'm a real guy in Warsaw hailing from a long line of warriors. PM me if in the area.

Thanks BB,

Typical of you Gerries, trying to steal sunshine from poor Africans. lol

Besides being ignorant of the issues discussed and having poor taste, do you like anything else?

I'd like to hear more about that. It is clear that Russia is not a reliable supplier of energy, and at any whim uses its leverage to stop delivery, as PutineK pointed ouit, it would be sensible to look elswhere. Let them stew in their "empire."

History / Battle of Grunwald 2009 [24]

Your helmet has so many dents received on this board that it is unusable. lol

Do allow us Poles to wallow in our glory on this one.

History / Battle of Grunwald 2009 [24]

It's a recreaction; there are plenty of guys who want to be the Teutons. As`you know, we love German uniforms- for example, ones designed by Hugo Boss :)

I am going there aswell! I am going there today! :D

See you there. I will be the one looking for grog and the wenches. lol

When are we going to get a spelling feature on this board?

History / Battle of Grunwald 2009 [24]

Anyone going?

I've been there before and am going this Saturday. It's a great recreation of the battle and 3000 or so knights participate. I will post some pics from it later. If you know any interesting details, post them. Here is one:

The Germans call it the First Battle of Tannenberg. The first, because in 1914 the Germans gained a smashing victory over the Russians there. In 1934, von Hindenburg (Paul Ludwig Hans Anton von Beneckendorff und von Hindenburg) was burried there(?!) and in 1945, when the German army was retreating, they took his remains with them and blew up his mausoleum.

a

I hear from my participating friends that the battle is going to be fierce, but we are expected to win again.

What happened to the two swords?

History / UKRAINIAN GENOCIDE AGAINST POLES DOWNPLAYED [57]

I am of the belief that we should remember it but not dwell on it

Welcome,

I think most will agree with you and serious steps have been taken to put things behind us. Our disagreement here is with comparing UPA with AK and not aknowledging the role of UPA in mass murder.

Sometimes the only interest Poles seem to have in Wołyń is the UPA atrocities,

I don't see Nathan being very interested in telling us about Wołyń. I would be interested in some info if you have any. I love travelling and am not interested in spending my złoties in the Euro zone since the exchange rate is so poor at the moment. Ukraine sounds fine to me.

News / Buzek. another step to abyss? [41]

Anyway, Buzek has got what is famed for being one of the shittest jobs in Europe.

Maybe he thinks Poles should limit their involvment in the European job market to plumbers and house cleaners.?

constant Polish claims and pretensions to Russia.

Which constant claims are you refering to, Putinek?

and eventuall collaps of this union.

If anyone can bring this Marxist kolhoz down, we can. So help us God. Not with Buzek though.

History / Poland and Hungary in September 1939 [79]

/wiki/Uprising_of_1953_in_East_Germany

In total, around 16 Soviet divisions with 20,000 soldiers as well as 8,000 Kasernierte Volkspolizei members were committed.

In case someone has read this, 16 divisions is a huge force to pacify civilians. That's 20,000 soldiers per division.

Why haven't I heard about this?

*feels dumb*

History / UKRAINIAN GENOCIDE AGAINST POLES DOWNPLAYED [57]

It completely bewilders me. But again UPA took no part in killings of Poles. All this is done by some pseudo historians trying to undermine Ukrainian-Polish relations.

Is that what they teach you in Uki schools?

You don't have to go very far to get facts; they are well recorded. If you think that wiki is wrong on this, try changing it.

Stop whitewashing crimes of genocide on this board. You can go on some Ukranian chauvinist forum and spread lies there.

All this is done by some pseudo historians trying to undermine Ukrainian-Polish relations.

Go to the wiki link, read it and learn something, look at the sources, and get back here with a different attitude.

Read the reconciliation part and see how people like you are part of the problem not solution for Polish-Ukrainian relations.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Massacres_of_Poles_in_Volhynia

If you don't like the wiki entry on UPA, try to change it. Till then:

The Ukrainian Insurgent Army (Ukrainian: Українська Повстанська Армія (УПА), "Ukrayins'ka Povstans'ka Armiya," or "UPA"... played a substantial role in the killing and ethnic cleansing of much of Western Ukraine's Polish population.[4]

many eastern provinces responded with opening of memorials to their victims, the first one of which opened in Simferopol, Crimea in September 2007.[117]

That's in Ukraine, not Poland.

Monument to the Victims of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, Simferopol

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ukrainian_Insurgent_Army

Now, look again what you wrote:

But again UPA took no part in killings of Poles.

A huge lie, isn't it.

I wonder, Seanus, if your advice goes to Jews as well? We get fed Holocaust daily and twice on Sunday to the point that most people start believing only Jews died during WWII.

The problem with some Ukranians is that they glorify UPA murderers, try to whitewash the genocide perpetrated on Polish civilians and then erect monuments to those beasts.

To me, it is equivalent to praising Einsatzgruppen for "fighting bolshevism."

History / Gdansk and it's history with Poland [116]

Only you could take a thread about Gdansk being Polish and turn it into a vehicle for you to spout yet more of your classy anti-semitism.

I'll remind you of that next time you talk about the Kielce pogrom.

That was a nice try too, little Gross.

such as the polonophobe Kosinski,

Yeah, he was a beauty, although I liked his Being There.

You seem to attach some great importance to Ivy League schools.

In this case they hired a sociologist to teach history. Duh?

Historians usually study history not physics and sociology.

As to Princton, please. Yale and Harvard turned out such geniuses as...George Bush.

History / Gdansk and it's history with Poland [116]

You might want to email Princeton: they employ him as a history professor.

I know they do. He is not a historian though.

Jan Tomasz Gross studied physics at the Warsaw University

In 1975 he earned a Ph.D. in sociology from Yale University

Jan Gross for example is also a popular historian (well known in the West) who too wrote about polish history.

First of all, he is a sociologist not a historian.

If his facts and conclusions are correct

His "facts" are so wrong and his scholarship so faulty that his works could be called historical pornography for Jews.

History / "GANGING UP" ON POLAND? [99]

Poland locked Ukrainian officers up in internment camps

I'm going to quote you in the future on that. Good boy.

Please point to the parts of the Anglo-Polish treaty which Britain did not observe.

You have written some stupid things on this board, but that is the dumbest thing you have produced so far.

As you have already been exposed as a liar in this thread, you might want to think twice before accusing others of lying.

I hate to speak for Ironside, but the first liar doesn't have a chance here.

Not at all: I pointed out that compared to the way that Poland had treated her ally in the previous war, Poland was treated very very well by her WWII ally Britain.

But that is the point of me asking you to explain what you believe. Somehow you are linking those two events together. Do you really think Churchill(Britain) thought of the Ukraine when he was stabbing Poland in the back in Tehran and Yalta?

The second part of that is, do you think that being sold into Stalinist slavery was a good deal that Poland deserved?

History / "GANGING UP" ON POLAND? [99]

In 1875, marriage became a mandatory civil ceremony, removed from the control of the Church....
Something every modern western state does now the same!

No BB, unless you want to call Poland an unmodern state. We get married in church here and do not need to go to any civil ceremony. That's all that is required. Of course, if you don't have a church wedding, you have a civil ceremony.

1jola:
But do explain what you mean by your statement above.
The explanation is now in the thread in question.

Your "explanation" was weak and evasive, somewhat bizzarre, and not at all on topic.

History / THEY WOULDN'T LISTEN TO WISE OLD PIŁSUDSKI!!!! [67]

My previous answer was as usually erased by PF admin. I am not surprised, though. I am not Polish.

Your post was sent to the Random Chat as was Torq's and it has nothing to do with you being a Uki, but rather lack of any sources to your "facts." You will be taken slightly more seriously if you provide links. See your post above.

Of course the reality is that after Poland's disgraceful back stab of its 1920s ally, it got a lot better than it deserved from its WWII allies.

Care to explain this one?

This is from another thread running at the same time. You're on the roll. If you can add "Polish concentration camps," "Polish anti-Semitism," "Polish Nazi collaboration,"you'll have all your favorite topics all at once.

But do explain what you mean by your statement above.

News / JEW YOUTH SHOULD CLEAN UP THEIR ACT IN POLAND [420]

Could be. But are most non-Jews really aware of what Jews believe in?

True. Most are not. Judaism is complex and often taken out of context and used against Jews.

Were the pogromchicks really concerned with our view of theology?

I think not. Probably an economic factor played part and sheer ignorance.

What's more - there are religions that believe the most outrageous things and yet no one bothers them. And that's because they don't live scattered among other nations.

There are plenty of examples of religious minorities being violently attacked. Never understood this part of human behavior.
