As for Ksysia, I think she clearly presented a real list of goods about the UK and that doesn't make her a moaner in my opinion.

Nah she's a moaner!

UK, Ireland / UK recession on the way? [58]

Yes for the eurozone tourist it's pretty crap at the moment. A lot of people are choosing all inclusive now. A mate came back from Corfu recently and they were wanting 4.5 euro for a pint in some places.

UK, Ireland / UK recession on the way? [58]

GBP in lowest ever position against the EUR

Lower now than then i believe, which isn't necessarily a bad thing for exporters.

History / Matters of Propaganda...Or: how was the West portrayed in Poland? [150]

"Pay attention: Russians and other inhabitants of the Eastern Bloc may look like us, but in fact they are very different.

We were told that if war broke out then it was expected that most of the satellite warsaw pact countries would switch sides to break free from the commies (Poland ,Hungary,Czech)

How true this was who knows.

Love / Why do Polish Women Think They Know Better? [134]

Why do Polish Women Think They Know Better

Surely the title should be all women.

My girlfriend doesn't suffer from this disorder. She's quite ok..so far

Give her time. Soon enough your friends will be no good, your clothes style, hair, drink too much etc.

UK, Ireland / Sad life of a Polish migrant in UK. Ch. 3 - Food [93]

culture

What is culture?

Good literature, Morris dancing, cricket, erm.....what comes after that ?

Real ale, football, rugby, the Derby, the national, chelteham festival, cheese rolling, music, history.

Scottish culture

The deep fried mars bar and irn bru.

So its like saying you prefer the park to real countryside - fair enough :-)

Lakes are easier on the eye

and more picturesque, it inspired Wordsworths poetry as opposed to the complete nonsense that is Burns.
