USA, Canada / Teeth bracelet, (dental brace) the Polish way to gain success in USA? [11]

Yep, I'm a Black guy and my parents had me in braces by the time I was 14. This is an American thing....I see so many people from other countries without "perfect" teeth. My brother fortunately was born with perfectly straight teeth and only needed a retainer for a very slight overbite.

Believe it or not, when I was a kid with braces...braces were a status symbol here in America. It meant your parents had money. Braces are affordable for everyone now if they want them.

USA, Canada / Are ther any Free Colleges in the US to join? [10]

Not unless you're African.

There are no colleges free in the U.S. even if you're African. They do have financial aid for all though, but I believe you might have to be U.S. citizen to qualify. You may be able to get a scholarship though

Food / Eating Healthy in Poland [18]

Hi, I have never been to Europe but lived with a guy from Europe for over 8 years. He was from Ruma, Yugoslavia. But he never ate alot of fattening foods like us Americans...plus, he told me the one thing that was different is that in America there is food everywhere you go...on every corner...even at work there are vending machines everywhere. Also, he stated in Europe people walk alot more than America.

I come from the South and you do drive everywhere you need to go because of the distance, but I don't know why there are any fat people in Chicago....food is expensive and you have to walk quite a bit according to where you go.

Food / Eating Healthy in Poland [18]

I have several Polish friends here in Chicago...and I don't see Polish food being that unhealthy...alot of soups and vegetables, etc. I don't really see them eating really fattening foods and all of them have been blessed with that European metabolism and don't get fat.

Love / Help-my polish bf doesn't fancy me! [94]

Kasia, take it from a guy who knows. The worst thing that a woman can do is to lose her self-respect. A relationship is a two way street and if he's not willing to meet you at least halfway. Then you need to let it go. Don't be co-dependent wanting someone to love or care about you. Think about your own self FIRST. That's what got Whitney Houston in the trouble she's in. As one of my good friends says, "if he doesn't come correct, then he needs to step."

Love / Why are Polish girls constantly ill? [166]

Read world statistics. More (?) than 80% of women have no economic freedom.

This is interesting. I was reading an article about this the other day...and it stated pretty much what you're saying. In a nutshell it stated that even if a woman is working...her financial independence is tied to her husband, but it is not the other way around. For example, a husband can go to strip club or hire an escort for an hour, but there are fewer strip clubs for women because their money is tied to their husbands.

I truly don't get this though. Although I am a man...if I were a college degreed woman working...there's no way my economic freedom would not be the same as my husband's.

Life / Scientology in Poland [24]

I haven't had experience with them in Poland, but here in the U.S. Yes. I let a friend who is a Scientologist talk me into going to one of their meetings. This is what I can tell you from my experience...

1. They keep their hands open quite a bit for money.
2. It doesn't really seem like a religion to me...but a philosophy.
3. It has it's good and bad points. I have heard from both sides. My friend that took me says it changed his life. He is no longer an alcoholic and a success in business because of Scientology's philosophies. On the other hand, I have read and heard they will money grub you to death. Take all your money. But I think with any religion or philosophy...one must use common sense. Look at Televangelist.

4. The people were really nice. I ate the food which was prepared which was alike all vegeterian. I think I had vegeterian chili. It was pretty good, but I love my beef.

I judge no one for what they want to do with their own lives. I can simply say it's not for me, but I am not going to say you shouldn't do it. Especially if this philosophy assisted in you getting off of alcohol and becoming a more productive citizen and human being.

News / Precedent set in Szczecin for offending homosexuals? [60]

That's right...people have enough trouble trying to take care of their own lives to be worried about other's lives...just shut up. If they are not hurting anyone...it's not your business.

News / 14 year old rape victim from Warsaw denied abortion! [348]

I have access to the same info as they do and am more than able to make moral judgements. I'll never let a priest decide for me. Priests are for the weak who need to be led. If you can't feel God around you then that's your issue but denying a 14-year old RAPE victim an abortion is just folly of the highest order!

Right On!!!

USA, Canada / CHICAGO BLUESFEST JUNE 7- 10 [111]

We should meet up...I would like to go. You know being from Louisiana originally and living in Texas for awhile before moving here to Chicago...I want to hear the difference between Chicago Jazz and New Orleans Jazz. I can tell you this much...there's a big difference in Delta Blues and Chicago Blues.

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

If the final decision is her's then it rises some doubts.

ha, if it is a one night stand or a fool around buddy...what makes you think that guy is going to be with that girl if he doesn't love her? Number 1 reason is this...they were sleeping around before...not in love with her. As I stated before, a woman would not be considering abortion under normal circumstances. I wouldn't trust that some guy was going to be there for me. Regardless if a guy pays child support it still is not enough to take care of a child when you are on your own. A check ever other week is nothing compared to 24/7 of taking care of a child.

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

I've been trying to reply to this for five minutes but your answer just isn't very clear and there is alot of sidestepping in there. "If men could get pregnant" has nothing to do with the question I asked.

Yes it does...all through time...men have been telling a woman what to do with her own body, health, voting for years...etc. Even telling a woman how to dress or not to dress. This is another issue of control. That is part of the reason so many men are responding to this thread. For a woman to have her eyes open and think for herself...causes panic in the eyes of men.

What I am saying is that a woman has the right to make that decision. It's her decision. Not yours.

he should have thought of this before he fukked her

Thank you

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

This is an interesting thread and all views are important but I do wonder to myself why so many more men reply to this than women? It seems that men have much stronger views on abortion than women do.

Kapusta, lol, isn't that amazing? These men are still trying to tell women what to do...but when the shoe is on the other foot...it's a different story. I'm a guy and I can only imagine the fear of being pregnant, the guy leaving me, and I have a child to raise with no assistance. No one that's telling a woman to keep that child is going to step in and assist her. Not one of these men preaching right now. Many of them will be the first to say, "it's not mine...where's their father?"

News / Poland..wake up to a multicultural world [1059]

Poor Sokrates. Africa wasn't a third world s--hole until it was robbed of it's natural resources and divided by English and French. They had no problems coming there and doing that...the only reason the U.S. has alot of business with Nigeria is because they are like the 2nd largest producer of oil next to the Middle East. Wake up, Sokrates...you could be next.

News / Abortion - how is the Polish government going to deal with this issue? [273]

I'll answer with this phrase I have been using previously:

If men could get pregnant...abortion would be a 100% accepted procedure and there would not be a discussion surrounding it.

It is a woman's issue. It is her body to do what she wants with it. The minute she came to the understanding that her body was/is hers...it became hers. In other words if something had happened to it before she/he came out of the birth canal...it wouldn't have made a difference, right?

Some liberals are even opposed to abortion so in fact the spectrum of approaches within the liberal mind is scattered all over the place.

Exactly...that is what Pro-Choice is about...it's about choice...many people who are Pro-Choice are not for abortion for themselves. When it comes down to it...essentially you don't want someone telling you what to do with your own body.

David Duke embraces all whites.

That truly shows your ignorance quoting or stating anything David Dukes has said positively. I know what you are...and you know I know what you are...and who you are as well.
