News / Need help choosing a research topic on Poland [3]
Hey guys,
I need to write an argumentative research paper. It needs to be about 6 pages typed. We get to decide on the topic, and I would like to do something that is related to Poland. It has to be something that I can make an argument for or against. Also, I would like to do something that I can find a lot of information about and easily. So far, I've been thinking about doing it about the contribution of Polish Pilots during World War II.
Does anyone have any ideas?

Food / Finally I get to eat Polish food again. [10]
Whenever I go to Poland I eat more than I usually do here in America. However, I don't gain any weight, in fact I usually loose weight.

Food / Finally I get to eat Polish food again. [10]
Well I've been away at college for a few months, and I like it and all except the food here is horrible. Coming from a typical Polish family I'm used to having a good home cooked Polish meal every night for dinner. Well, winter break starts in less then a week, so I get to go home an enjoy Polish food again. I can't wait.
Anyone else craving a Polish home cooked meal?

I don't know of any Polish restaurants in LA, but in Chicago I can recomend "Czerwone Jabłószko." Which is on Milwaukee, just south of Belmont.

Travel / Tatry Mountains Poland / First Snow [29]
I also use to live in the Tatry, in fact I was born there. I think it's extremely beautiful there, and I hope to one day go back and live there.

I attend DePaul University in Chicago and I will be studying abroad in Poland next fall. I know that through my University here you study at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. You take classes in English besides one Polish language class. The Polish language class varies based on language experience, for example: a student who knows no Polish would take an introductory course, but someone who can speak Polish well would take a course like Polish Literature or something (in Polish).

Language / Polish letters Alt-codes... Anyone? [60]
If you have Microsoft Windows XP (this might work on older versions of Windows too, I'm not sure), you can set it so that you can switch keyboard settings by just hitting Alt+Shift, it seems like this would be faster than using "Alt Codes."

Life / Polish eagle - which way the head faces? I need it for tattoo [28]
I think it's a really cool idea, and I plan on getting one when I go to Poland next summer. I can't wait to see what yous lokks like. I'm not sure if I want it on my upper back in the center, or on my chest over my heart.
