Love / What do Polish guys do to date a woman? [38]

phhf how does ANYman get ANY woman, its largly the same point.

Im no cupid or sex god but i know ive met women in many different ways that i can say, there is no one way or right way! If the feeling is mutual it will just happen any old way!

The first hurdle is obv opening yourself to rejection in anycase and it can be a big barrier the first few times - i find it an adreniline rush! ive been rejected, ive rejected, been accepted and accepted myself! its love baby!! :) and its one hell of ride! (no pun intended)

Love / What do Polish guys do to date a woman? [38]

miranda, I am very taken (the past year :)) and loving it :)

kaka. we would get on i think :) I do this but would be in the minority like franck it seems :)

its considered old fashioned etc, i thinks its romanitc, polite and is a sign you care, respect her.

I am very much the gentleman, loving pride and prejudice :)

Love / Do u girls really like to get poems from men or it's rather overrated? [71]

Aw this is a lovely thread! so many differing views and points!

I love poetry and agree with many points. Its got to be from the heart, thoughtful and sincere. I like it to be warm and even bring a smile!

but id send it, i couldnt read it. I think we each read it differently and Id rather she could read and re read it to her hearts content

go poetry! wo!

Also here, its cinema, drink (beer/coffee either, depends on age)
Id love to go to the theathre but there are so few girls here would find that appealing! rather a turn off!!! which is a pity - women here want a gentlemen and dont at the same time!

Love / relationship with polish man [40]

avoid avoid avoid (doesn't matter where they are from poland, ireland, uzbekestan)

Unless he actaully is divorced dont entertain it. You'll only get more hurt. I know i am being very pessimistic but its a defensive mechanism. Men can be quite devious when they are away from the home and will say anything to get into the bed

I hope he is not actually like this but be careful, only you can look out for you at the end of the day.

but i do hope if it is love, he gets the divorce and THEN you two can have a relantionship but hold to then.

UK, Ireland / polish girls outnumbers polish men interms of relationships with native from uk or ie [178]

nah, jealous is right, they are gorgeous! we all checking them out!

I was with a stunner (she irish by the way) and she was always flirting, she admitted to me on many occasions, drove me nuts! we broke two years later over her lying about having cancer (long story) but i doubt i could of lived with her

Whereas my lovely polish girlfriend, she is pretty and she doesnt flirt with everyman and so i have no reason to be jealous.

protective is another meaning. no women i know accuse men of this, its usually jealouscy they would claim.

ive seen it too, there is this girl who is like my sister and her irish boyfriend is SOOOO 'protective' of here LOL try a control FREAK!!!

Life / Situation of women in Poland and the society [25]

bollix! pick any country in the world and you can find any statistic to support women are an under appreciatted being.

It is unfair to single out poland. my experiences have been that its very equal and agree with the statement that she is the boss in the home! i live in a house of 4 men and my mother is definitly the boss hehe!! :)

and in poland the same! my gf (girlfriend) for eg is doing a masters in university and so are here friends!

you could take that speech of yours and erase the word poland and insert any freaking country!!! but its not as bad as you make it out in the EU

Love / relationship with polish man [40]

laura, i bet you £10 you stop sex or love making and he would be gone.

i dont mean to be cold hearted - i just feel that - if he loves you, he will understand and respect your wishes until HE gets a divorce

Work / Job opportunities in Poland for a foreigner? (other than a teacher) [175]

yea i use the internet too. I am earning below average industrial wage in ireland and live with parents at the moment (i am 24) I am nearly finished my degree in Business and half way with my proffessional Accountancy (ACCA accaglobal.com for interested parties)

I just really want to raise a family with my girlfriend, living in a beautiful place (not meaning big house, but a lovely part of the world)

is it so much to ask?

Love / Do you think that Poles are faithful [74]

Yes, it is a growing trend unfort. that men and women cheat, i dont know if men cheat more than women (they just talk about it more!)

which worries the hell outta me! that if my girl/wfe cheated on me, she wouldnt say???

and how would i know?

scary stuff - i wouldnt cheat and would hope not to be cheated on

As to generalising polish - nah, its an individual thing, you either are or are not

UK, Ireland / Polish Thoughts on Britain and the British [273]

eh, Ireland is in two parts, Northern (british & irish passports) and the Republic of Ireland (south) nothing to do with the United Kingdom.

Considering over 700 years trying to gain independance from tyrannical rule seems only fair to keep the distinction. Today i say, go EU!!!

I hope that the idea of being european citizens is a growing one! though we are all incredibly different on cultural levels, we do share alot of idealogys....my impression anyway

Life / How do Polish view others [116]

well i thought Ireland featured in the poles 'like list'?

And Ive encountered the 'we hate the germans cos they think they are better than us' thing. its just as bad as the irish, 'we hate the english, 700 years of occuption etc etc.'

My gf though, has a fascintation with the Russian language and wishes to learn it...i dont really have a position, I like the Choral music and the hats :P hehe ok ok, it goes deeper than that, i like alot of cultures really, elements thereof. But i havent come across pole not liking russia attitude but i can understand if they do! (that whole catholic priests as secret police spies...yea)

Every country has there rivals and there friends, generally speaking

Love / Polish girls are polish girls [6]

well i found my gf very special! ive been with few nationalities and she is the best! (i know its an individual thing - but i see many of her traits in her friends to a degree too)

Its a generalisation Paul yes -but why do men like brazillians or italians? there is a reason stereotypes exist.

Love / Racism and Religion in Polish relationships [209]

hey bossie spot on hehe!!!

same in Ireland! nouns and grammer are not as big a priority in the education! its really weird! i was schooled in the UK and IRE and I cant recall ANY lessons on it! except the look of DUH you dont know this? well no sir i dont, you haven't taught it :P

i had to learn my self hehe and even today - id be unsure! im not a stupid person but languages are NOT my strong point
