Law / 40- Temp. Resident Cards for the Foreigners Lost inside WAW Depart. [13]

Hi jone and oxide,

I read the mesg you shared above and I totally agree with both of you that whats happening in długa is unimaginable :) bye the way I am also foreigner and beside this non-european and not white, so you can understand quite well how does things happen when you are not from eu or not white :)

As far as standing in que is concern then plz contact the dluga office on phone and fix an appointment. it doesnt take much to fix it. I did the same as I have to reapply for my card in this month. so couple of weeks ago I just called them and fixed an appointment. they gave me date and time. so I dont have to stand in que everytime without knowing wheather that day Iwould be able to submit my application or not :) so I would suggest both of you to call them up and fix an appointment.

As far as showing the work of dluga to rest of the people then I ve heard that tvn has special department who looks for such kind of stories. so perhaps we can all contact them inorder to change something. In my openion its useless to contact higer authorities in dluga as they all know whats the situation is but still they are sitting just hand in hand without doing nothing. So its better just not to contact them.

Good luck oxide for your application :)

Law / 40- Temp. Resident Cards for the Foreigners Lost inside WAW Depart. [13]

Well jones the number which I have its just for submitting the application for TRC the nos is: 226956761 or 226956764. Try your luck maybe it will work :) for me it worked and now I have an appointment confirmed together with the time :) so I dont have to stand in que in such cold weather :)

As far as asking other general info about anything then my experience is bit different. Whenever I asked for the way or any information I use to get straight forward answer i.e. rather they would say I'm sorry I dont know or wouldnt say anything and will walk away :) To my luck I've never faced any bad experience :)

USA, Canada / Trouble sending emails from U.S. to Poland... [6]

I think gmail is the best, it dont block any messages and on other side if it does then it puts them into the bulk folder. so try to have gmail id instead of hotmail or yahoo :)

Life / Do Polish people respect other cultures? [96]

'like to let there hair down,

Totally agree with Ali on his statement.

Polish people are very judgemental

To some extent most Polish people are kind of judgemental.

Polish culture is steeped in tradition

Definetly, Polish culture is steeped down in tradition and culture.

Im foreign national living in Poland from last 3 years now and found this country very tolerable, open, full with historical events and so on.

And to my view Polish people should fee proud of themselves of being part of this great nation.

Life / popularity of sperm bank in Poland :) [15]

In other countries like Denmark, Sweden, Switzerland et its very popular among men. On other side its an easier and fastest way to earn some money as well. It helps those partners or families who are going through different sort of medical diseases due to which they cannot be able to have children.

Therefore now I think to some extent its clear that how this concept is popular or do I need to give some more explanation for it?

Life / popularity of sperm bank in Poland :) [15]

n the uk i think because of the threat of new laws, anyone going to a sperm bank would have to be mad, because it may in the future turn out that person receiving the donation can claim child benefit from the father.

Well it can be a danger in doing so :)

UK, Ireland / "Half of Poles in UK plan to return home" Telegraph article [8]

Nice article written and interesting fact :)

As most of the Poles have left Poland in search of earning bread and butter to England or Ireland and due to this there were a shortage of working force in Poland. After reading this article it seems this shortage of working force will be overcome in some time :)

Study / The basic requirements for a non-EU foreigner to go to a university in PL [23]

Does anyone know what the basic requirements are for a foreigner(non EU) to go to university in Poland? And also would you have to be fluent in Polish or are there a lot of courses offered in English?

well Devey, Ive studied myself here in a private institute in Waw and the studies were all in English. So you don't have to bother with learning Polish before starting your studies. As far as most public universities are concern then from last couple of years they have started offering some courses in English. So you may check with public universities. Anyway if it wont help then there are hand full of private institutions which you can chose from who are offering variety of courses being taught in English. If you need any recommendation of any private school in Warsaw then let me know :)

News / Poland in coming 5 years [48]

What I imagine is being asked here is, 'where do you think Poland will be on the World stage in five years time'.

Thanks for making my question clear :)

Why can't we all just be happy with what we have

Thats true, its rather wise enough to be happy with what one had instead of just blaming all the time or wasting the time in thinking of the things which we don't have :)

I think being part of EU and now Schenghen Poland had a bright future ahead. We all know it takes some time to things to be change as it said " Rome was not built in a day" So inorder for changes to be appear we have to show patience.

Travel / Your favourite Polish region/city, etc [32]

By the way, I still don't get what all the fuss is about regarding Kraków - sure, it's an attractive city; but to me, it just feels so... soulless and unfriendly.

I agree that Kraków is just a touristic city with lots of tourist all the year around :)

I love Garbarka , Poznan, Nowy sacz, Tuchow :) simply love these places :) n ya to add this list Bialoweza :)

Love / Searching Information about Renewal of Marriage Vows In Poland [3]

Hi villaroger,

Considering the fact that you are athesist, therefore it would be impossible for you to get married in church. So you have to contact your county office and ask there for marriage department. there you have to take the appointment and also according to your nationality they will ask you for specific documents to submit. once you will get the date you can to the same office with witness and guest and ofcourse your wife :):):) and thats all :)

hope this information will be enough for you to start this process :)
